BAM
Thud
Drakar’s body went flying, it tore through a tree and finally—
Drakar finally collapsed on the ground and for the next second, dust swallowed him completely.
Zyrax stood in the center of the ruined ground, breathing hard, yes, after the battle, even he was tired too.
But the best part was that he knew it wasn’t over.
Drakar could still go on.
"Stand up, I know you can still fight!"
He spoke excitedly, his breathing flaring even more strongly.
"Don’t you dare act in front of me!
If you break, then break after you win!"
Zyrax spoke even louder and finally—
The dust cloud that had formed shifted slightly and Drakar walked out slowly.
The calm on his face had changed. He no longer seemed... patient. He seemed... irritated. Battle was one thing, but hearing Zyrax’s voice, even when he was exhausted to this point—
It made him angry, he wanted to shut this little thing up for good.
Drakar glared at Zyrax intensely, scales now covered both his arms, his shoulders, and a part of his neck. Thin lines of red light moved beneath them like flowing magma. That was pure heat his body was now radiating, and it had started burning the ground under him.
A ground of a High-Level World that could even bear the battle between Transcendent-Level Beings.
"There you are."
Zyrax’s smile turned savage as he glanced at Drakar.
This.
This was exactly what he wanted to see.
Drakar, on the other hand, didn’t say anything.
He just vanished, so quickly that even Zyrax couldn’t react to his movements. He could barely raise his guard in time.
BOOOOOOM
Drakar’s fist slammed into his crossed arms with enough force to send a deep ring-shaped crater through the ground around them.
BOOOM
Before Zyrax could recover, Drakar drove a second strike into his stomach, lifting him off the ground.
"Khwwaakkh!!"
Zyrax spat into the air, his eyes widening just a little, and Drakar followed with a third hit to the chest that launched him straight through the air.
Thud
Zyrax hit the ground.
His body bounced once, then twice, then...
Then the monster rolled, absorbing the impact naturally and... he forced himself up.
Yes, he was standing.
And...
He was still smiling.
Even now.
Even when his scales were lying on the ground beneath him, broken.
But it didn’t matter.
Zyrax’s grin widened, the remaining scales on his body spread further, Zyrax’s scales were jagged and darker than Drakar’s, they crawled up the sides of his face and down both hands.
His aura rose wildly in answer, meeting Drakar’s heavier force with... violent excitement.
"That!
Do that again!"
He laughed as he exploded forward.
Drakar didn’t hold back either, this was no longer the time to exchange small strikes, now, they were going all out and it was like seeing two storms collide, trying to crush each other.
BOOOOM BOOOOM BOOOOM
Auras burst in waves, the field split deeper, every impact sent pieces of stone and broken trees spinning away like thrown knives. A nearby hundred-meter-large boulder cracked from top to bottom.
The air itself shook under the weight of their Dragon Auras, it had become strong enough to crush any being under the Primordial Level.
Zyrax swung wide, forcing Drakar to block high, then drove a shoulder into him and pushed. Drakar planted his feet, stopping the charge, and the two locked there for a moment, foreheads nearly touching, scales scraping against scales.
Zyrax’s eyes gleamed.
"Harder! Put more strength!"
He grinned.
Drakar’s brows twitched.
"Shut up!"
He cursed and then he did exactly what Zyrax had demanded.
He pushed more power into the fight.
The pressure around his body thickened even further. His aura no longer merely clashed with Zyrax’s. It began... crushing it back.
The broken ground beneath his feet sank, heat blasted outward from him in a sharp pulse and Zyrax—
The moment he felt this change.
The moment he realized Drakar had gotten stronger than before, that he did indeed push past his limits and had actually become stronger than him—
"HAHAHA!!
You did it!"
He laughed and he shoved harder too, refusing to give ground.
This was it, this was what he wanted.
To push his big brother beyond what he was capable of, so he could use that to get stronger.
And as their clash continued, the place around them began to fall apart in earnest. A large section of the field to their right collapsed inward with a loud crack. About ten nearby trees snapped directly, dust and fragments rained down over the field.
Still the two Dragons fought.
Zyrax swung, Drakar blocked.
"It is not. Not when you are already in this state, resting and fighting later once your body has recovered will have more benefits."
Zyrax stared at him for a good moment, then, he just clicked his tongue.
"You bore me."
He spoke as he placed his hands behind his head.
Drakar didn’t say anything, but his annoyance deepened. He had finally stopped listening to Zyrax’s voice inside the fight, and now Oraya had stepped in with his ’analysis’.
And just when he thought this was over—
Another figure dropped from above.
"You people aren’t stopping just because black hair here said you won’t grow, are you?
Just prove him wrong!"
The boy grinned and the moment Oraya looked at him, he just shook his head.
"Like you have ever done that."
He spoke lightly.
The boy’s mouth twitched in annoyance, but since he knew the black-haired boy was correct, he didn’t argue and turned towards the Dragons instead.
"Ignore him, you just fight!"
He spoke as he grabbed his sword and Oraya... he just facepalmed.
Two Dragons were still manageable, but how was he supposed to stop them when even this one got involved?
Ragnar Leander was a sword freak, just like his mother. So much so that he didn’t even put his sword inside his storage ring, the sword stayed with him the way another child might keep a favorite toy, except there was nothing childish about the way his fingers curled around it.
Ragnar himself had brown hair, slightly disheveled from the jump, his brown eyes stared at the Dragons and the destruction around them with bright interest, clearly, he too, wanted to join in the fun.
Zyrax too, looked at his elder brother with great interest.
Ragnar and Zyrax were close, solely because they had a similar mindset.
A battle?
They were always ready for it.
"Let’s do it.
Let’s make it a three-way! Last one standing wins!"
Zyrax announced despite being the weakest of the three.
"That sounds goo—"
Ragnar was about to agree but—
"The place is about to collapse."
Oraya spoke directly.
Ragnar, however, just shrugged and rested his sword over his shoulder.
"Let it collapse.
I’ll take responsibility."
He spoke confidently.
