Zylarith waved his hand, prepared to end the First Contradiction but—
"Huh...?"
Nothing happened.
Zylarith stared at his surroundings with a dumbfounded look on his face and just then—
"It won’t work."
Nux shook his head.
"W-What do you mean!?"
Zylarith looked at him, wanting an explanation, an answer.
And this time, Nux decided to play along, just like Zylarith once did at the beginning of the battle.
Arrogant?
Not this time.
At this particular moment, Nux was absolutely sure of what he was doing because no matter how strong, skillful, or scheming Zylarith was, right now, he couldn’t move an inch, giving Nux all the time in the world he wanted to torment him, to play with him, to do... whatever he pleased with him.
"Do you still not understand it?"
Nux asked with an amused look on his face.
"I thought you were quicker than that."
Zylarith’s frown deepened even further, his mind was trying to think of an answer but no matter how desperately he tried—
Nothing came up.
Nux saw it and shook his head.
"Law of Anomaly."
He began.
"That is the Law I comprehended."
"The Law of... Anomaly...?"
Zylarith frowned in confusion, this was obviously the first time he was hearing an absurd name like this.
What did that even mean!?
It didn’t link to any of the Primordial Energies at all!
Zylarith’s thoughts were on his face, so much that Nux didn’t even need a second look to tell what he was thinking.
And that made him laugh.
"It is a Law that does not fit inside normal reality, logic, or universal rules. It allows me to create results that should not be possible, even if the method makes no sense.
It allows me to move when movement is impossible, damage someone even if my attack does not exist, or use Laws in ways they should not work.
And no—
It is not the same as your Chaos.
Whatever your Chaos is or however strong your mastery over it is, in the end, Chaos is still just a Law, one of the Primordial Energies.
It works by defining reality through Chaos. It twists, contradicts, or ruins order, structure, meaning, cause, and effect.
In other words, while Chaos does affect Laws, it too, has a structure, a pattern. It simply... turns a Law’s own logic against it.
I, however, am different.
I do not need to define anything.
I do not make another rule to fight the already existing rules, I am an existence even reality itself fails to categorize.
While your Chaos stretches the limit of what is possible.
I control the impossible."
Nux declared, his golden eyes shining brightly, almost as if he was declaring Zylarith’s end.
"And right now—
I made it so you ending your First Contradiction becomes impossible, it falls outside the limit you can stretch to.
So now, you no longer have power over it."
Nux smiled, his body already healing back to its natural state, only now, with his control over the Law of Anomaly being far stronger than what it was when the battle began—
His presence alone was different.
Nux Leander was different.
Now, the question was no longer whether he was comparable to the Infinities—
Because he was.
Now, the question was whether he could defeat all Four Infinities at the same time and honestly—
At some level, Nux knew he couldn’t.
Even as strong as he was right now, he wasn’t strong enough to face Four Infinities, all at the same time.
But that didn’t mean he couldn’t do it at all.
After all, strengthening his understanding of the Law of Anomaly wasn’t the final reward he was going to get out of this battle.
The final reward was Zylarith himself.
And his understanding of the Road to Infinity, the Power of Chaos, and using that Power of Chaos, an even deeper understanding of the Law of Anomaly.
Basically—
Once the battle ended, once Nux devoured Zylarith Chaosveil and absorbed him completely—
He would have made Zylarith’s powers... his own.
And the worst part?
He wouldn’t have Zylarith’s weakness.
Unlike Zylarith, he wouldn’t exist in a Soul Form, he would have a physical body stronger than the Infinities.
He would become a monster with no weaknesses.
A monster even the Four Infinities would have no way to defeat.
"LIES!! THAT ISN’T POSSIBLE!!"
That was when Zylarith screamed in desperation, his purple eyes burning intensely.
"I AM AN INFINITY!!
My understanding of my Law is stronger than yours! My Power over Chaos is more concentrated than yours! My Quality of Energy is better than yours!
Someone like you shouldn’t be able to overpower my Energy even if you are a part of another Universe!
That is impossible!"
He screamed, denying everything Nux just said.
And he was correct.
The Quality of Energy was still a factor Nux lacked. After all, even now, the quality of his energy was merely at the level of a Transcendent.
This was also the reason he never used direct Laws against Eternal Level opponents, he knew the Quality of their Energy was better than his, which would allow them to overpower him, this was the reason he relied on physical might instead.
And since he couldn’t defeat even an Eternal when it came to Quality of Energy, defeating an Infinity Level being like Zylarith should have been... impossible.
But...
That was when Nux smiled even more.
"Did you not hear what you just said yourself?"
He asked with a curious look on his face, Zylarith frowned and Nux quoted his words—
That is... impossible!"
