"What am I supposed to see?"
Nux asked with a defeated look on his face.
"Everything."
The Seer answered.
Nux frowned in confusion and the Seer started explaining.
"A branch is not merely a line, Nux. It is a Universe seen from outside Time. It is the beginning, it is the past, it is the present, it is the future, its Laws, its worlds, its deaths, its wars, its Branches and... it is the end.
Everything that makes a Universe a... Universe exists inside that one stream."
Nux blinked.
"You see all of that at once...?"
He asked in disbelief.
"Yes."
"And you expect me to do the same...?"
"Yes."
The Seer nodded again.
Nux stared at the branch again.
For now, he finally understood why the Seer said the first step was easy, tracing the outside of a branch was simple, this was... something else.
He focused.
The silver-blue branch shined but—
Nothing happened.
Nux went at it for days, days turned into months, then years and centuries but...
He found himself seeing just the branch.
"How do you do it?"
He asked with a deep frown.
"No matter how much I keep staring, I only see a branch."
"That is for you to figure out."
The Seer had no answer.
"How do you do it?"
He asked.
"I just... do?"
The Seer tilted her head and she wasn’t lying, to her, all this came naturally when she came here.
Nux’s mouth twitched.
"You are a terrible teacher."
"I agree."
The Seer nodded and that only made it worse.
In the end, Nux just turned towards the branch and looked.
But again, it didn’t change anything. It was almost as if seeing what the Seer saw was impossi—
Suddenly, Nux’s thoughts froze.
Impossible.
Seeing what the Seer saw was impossible!
Why didn’t he think of that before!?
He cursed himself for restricting himself to what he was being told, then—
He cheated.
The Power of Anomaly moved, Nux’s eyes brightened and now, as he looked at the Universe with the intent to look—
It happened.
Something opened and Nux’s mind was struck with an overwhelming stream of information, all at once.
Stars.
Worlds.
Births.
Deaths.
Wars.
Civilizations.
Immortals.
Mortals.
Children.
Monsters.
Laws.
Oceans.
Screams.
Silence.
Fire.
Time.
All of it came.
Everything came at once, not one event after another, not past, then present, then future.
All of it came together.
The birth of the Universe and its final decay, a child’s first breath and an ancient star’s death, it all... coexisted.
A war that lasted ten thousand years existed beside the thought that caused it. An Immortal’s rise, fall, return, and erasure all appeared as one structure.
Nux’s consciousness shook.
For a moment, he almost lost himself.
It was too much, even for him, who had absorbed Worlds’ worth of memories.
After all, this was not mere worlds.

"Of course, you only saw that information, how much of it do you recall?"
"It was chaotic, not something that could be recalled."
