What did you expect to happen?"

He spoke as he finally turned toward her.

She answered.

Nux nodded as he looked down at his own hand, at his new body which was... different from what it used to be.

Nux spoke as he looked at his wives, who narrowed their eyes, listening intensely.

The Seer asked and Nux’s eyes darkened as he thought about it.

"Because the price would have been too high."

He paused for a moment, as if collecting his thoughts before he began explaining.

"If I had tried to fully reform my connection with my Universe and reclaim it as my true body, the worlds I devoured wouldn’t have been enough, I would have needed more."

I would have needed to devour the foundation of my own Universe, its Laws, its structure, its existence..."

His eyes moved towards his wives and—

"And its people."

He revealed.

"My wives, my children, everything I wanted to protect, to reclaim my old body, I needed to devour them all."

He spoke, hating the very idea of what he just said.
