Chapter 119 The Potion Supply
Chapter 119 The Potion Supply
The battle wore on, and both of them were deteriorating with every passing minute.
“PineappleBeer! You still with me?”

Riley shouted before throwing herself back into the fray, doing everything she could to hold the monster’s attention.
She weaved between the forest of thrashing tentacles, her movements growing sluggish.
“Still breathing!”
PineappleBeer ground her teeth together, forcing her body back into stealth. “But this thing heals like crazy! The chunks we cut off grow back in seconds!”
She was right.
That was the most demoralizing part.

The Rotten Tyrant possessed a passive ability called “Flesh Regeneration“. Unless they could deliver one massive, decisive blow, in a drawn–out fight like this, the humans would always be the first to break.
“Little insects… do you truly believe… these petty tricks… can kill a god?”
From beneath that giant, grinning mask, Nightshade’s muffled, taunting voice seeped out.
“Gurgle… urgh…”
The laxative was still doing a number on his system, and even some… less dignified functions were slipping out of control–which only fueled his rage further.
“Poison mist… unleash!”
The pustules covering the monster’s surface suddenly ruptured.
Thick, emerald–green toxic fumes billowed out in an instant, flooding the entire chamber.
“Damn it! Don’t breathe it in!”
Riley’s face paled. But this poison mist wasn’t just inhaled–it was highly corrosive, too.
It felt like someone had splashed battery acid over every inch of her exposed skin. The pain was excruciating. Her stamina and focus were draining rapidly.
“System Warning: Subject to severe acidic poison mist corrosion!
“Constitution check….Constitution 21… check narrowly passed. Sustaining minor continuous HP loss.”

She wasn’t dead yet, but Riley could feel her eyelids growing heavy. The axes in her hands felt like they weighed a
ton.
“Is this really how it ends?”
Riley glanced over at PineappleBeer, who was also hanging on by a thread nearby.
“PineappleBeer, if it’s too much… we should fall back”
Sure, taking down Nightfall now was a golden opportunity. But neither of them could keep this up much longer.
“Yeah… guess we’ve got no choice.”
Nightfall would recover eventually and might come after them later, but they just weren’t equipped for this. There hadn t been enough time to prepare.
“Bzzz–bzzz–bzzz-”
Just then, Riley’s inventory started vibrating wildly.
A cascade of system notifications exploded in her mind, glitchy and overwhelming.
“Ding! Received item transfer from friend TartKing.
“Obtained: Intermediate Healing Potion (Fine) x10
“Obtained: Special Adrenaline Shot x5
“Obtained: Advanced Antitoxin x5
“Obtained: Instant HP Potion x20”
In mere seconds, Riley’s nearly depleted inventory was suddenly stocked with row upon row of potions,
“What the…?”
Riley blinked in confusion.
She barely sidestepped a spearing tentacle and stole a glance at her inventory while she could.
Her once–empty supply slots were now neatly packed with bottles–red ones (healing), green ones (antidote), blue ones (energy), yellow ones (buffs)…
Then, an automatic voice message from TartKing began to play.
“Tartking: Boss! No idea what shape you’re in right now.
“Tartking: Just don’t you dare die on me! I cleared out everything we had in storage! Traded supplies with other survivors over the exchange channel–everyone’s rooting for you to pull this off!

Tartking: Wasn’t sure what you needed, so I just sent every heating item I could get my hands on! Chug ‘em like Gatorade! If it’s not enough, I’ll go trade for more! Oh, and those potions you gave me last time–I stashed ‘em. They’re all yours now
Riley listened to the rushed, slightly scattered message, and a surge of warmth spread through her chest.
She pulled all this together in such a short time?
How many supplies did that cost? How many people had she bargained with?
“Pineapple! Heads up!”
Riley grabbed a handful of potion bottles from her inventory and lobbed them toward Pineapple Beer without even looking.
