Pineapple Beer’s past-life memories were a secret they could never risk exposing.
The three continued their way back and passed a small, inconspicuous shop.
It had a modest door and a lopsided sign painted with a single silver-green leaf.
Riley’s gaze swept over it casually at first, before her footsteps came to a halt.
An elf NPC she recognized sat on a tall stool by the entrance, sorting the shop’s shelves at a slow pace.
Silver long hair, pointed ears, and clothes so clean.
It was Good, the Wandering Merchant.
Unlike his sporadic appearances on previous floors, Good finally had a permanent stall here. His shop was small, filled with all kinds of odd goods: scrolls, crafting materials, bottled liquids, worn boxes, and assorted trinkets with no obvious use.
Good looked up and spotted Riley, wearing a subtle smile.
“Oh, we meet again.”
Riley walked over to the shop’s entrance.
“You have a store here too?”
Good spread his hands.
“The Floor 15 central hall is prime ground. Where there are surviving survivors, there is business. A Wandering Merchant never misses an opportunity.”
TartKing muttered, “You Wandering Merchants sure know how to pick your spots.”
Good smiled warmly at her.
“Merchants who live long learn exactly where to wait for customers.”
Pineapple Beer glanced at the cluttered shelves but did not step inside.
Riley also held back from browsing.

She had far too many tasks on her plate, with 62 guild members waiting for her arrangements. Good’s stock was always unusual, and a proper browse would take far too long right now.
“We just arrived on this floor,” Riley said. “Our team is resting in the outer area. I’ll come look around once we’re settled.”
Good showed no disappointment at all. He nodded.
“Of course. Folks fresh out of Floor 15’s outer region usually aren’t in any shape to shop right away. You need healing, rest, hot food, and only then should you think about spending your tokens.”
He paused, his smile unchanged.
“A friendly warning though-inn rooms fill fast in the central hall. The best spots won’t wait for anyone.”
Riley filed the advice away.
“Thanks.”
Good gestured toward his shop interior. “When you come back, I’ll have things suited for you.”
A flicker of curiosity crossed Riley’s eyes.
Good offered no further explanation, lowering his head to continue organizing his goods.
He knew exactly how to tread carefully.
He dropped a tantalizing hint and left it hanging, leaving people wanting more.
Riley did not press him.
Now was not the time.
She nodded toward Good and left the shop with Pineapple Beer and TartKing.
On the way back, TartKing carried their newly bought potions and scrolls. Her mood was a little lighter, but only slightly.
“They’ve got everything here,” she said. “As long as we have tokens, everyone can recover quickly.”
Pineapple Beer added, “We need to book inn rooms as soon as possible. The outer resting zone works, but the recovery rate is terrible. Right now, we need spirit restoration and gear repairs.

Another tough fight could be waiting for us after this.”

Riley nodded. “We’ll have RedBean run the numbers first. Severe injury cases get priority for inn stays.”
TartKing looked at her. “What about you?”
“I’ll check the connector later,” Riley said.
TartKing frowned at once.

Before she could argue, Riley added, “After I finish arranging everyone, get
TartKing looked barely satisfied with that answer.
The three crossed the stone streets and headed back toward the Hope Guild’s temporary resting zone.
In the distance, they could see the security perimeter Hanna had set up.
The shield team held the outermost watch. Wounded members rested further inside, while the healers treated their injuries in batches. RedBean sat with her head down, sorting records. NorthWind leaned against the wall, scanning the surrounding crowd. Felix and LoneSparrow crouched together, organizing their remaining supplies.
Everyone looked worn and ragged.
