Chapter 96 Morning Trades and Class Scrolls
She didn’t have to stay on edge or keep watch anymore.
The walls were solid, practically unbreakable, and the storage unit was packed with supplies.
That was what gave her the most confidence in this apocalyptic world.
“Goodnight, Neeko.”
“Purr.. purr…”
The little cat curled up in her arms answered with a low, steady rumble.
Morning light filtered through the new shutters in the main cabin, scattering patches of gold across the wooden floor.

There was no howling wind or snow pounding against the windows–just quiet warmth inside, with faint swirls of dust dancing in the sunbeams.
Riley woke up in the big bed and stretched her arms.
A series of soft pops came from her joints, proof that her body had fully recovered from the intense fighting the day before.
“Another day.”
Feeling good, she washed up and casually swiped open the system interface floating over her retina.
It was only eight in the morning, but the private message icon was already blinking nonstop.
She ignored the usual spam messages and the endless praise the group chat was heaping on the top players. Instead, she opened TartKing’s message first.
“TartKing: Hey! Good morning! Check out what I figured out how to make!”
The photo showed a dessert on a delicate ceramic plate–a caramel–colored crust with rich white cheese oozing from the center, topped with a bright red candied cherry.
“TartKing: Behold! Sea Salt Caramel Cheese Lava Tart! I finally scored some coarse sea salt on the trade channel yesterday. It’s not as fine as the processed stuff, but that gritty texture actually makes it better! Oh, and I added milk, so the mana recovery boost is seriously off the charts!
“TartKing: Gift: Sea Salt Caramel Cheese Lava Tart x6
“Tartking: Give it a try! Let me know what you think–pretty please!”
Riley couldn’t help but smile at the mouthwatering image.
Everyone else was still scrambling for a piece of bread, but this girl was already fine–tuning the texture and flavor of her desserts.
“SpicyBurger: Thanks. I’ll put aside some good materials for you next time.”
She accepted the gift and then scrolled down to another avatar.

PineappleBeer.
This top supporter’s style was way more direct–no chit–chat, just a blueprint sent over.
“PineappleBeer: Morning. Saw the server announcement. Congrats on hitting Level 4.
“PineappleBeer: Since your camp leveled up, your workshop must’ve upgraded too, right? Can you craft this?”
“Blueprint: Shadow Dancer Boots (Rare)”
Riley opened it and checked it out.
“Requirements: Level 3 or higher Leatherworking specialist bench, or advanced multipurpose workshop.
“Materials: Tempered Leather x4, Wind Element Crystal x1, Shadowweave Thread ×2”
These were high–end boots. Even just from the preview stats, they were miles better than the basic work boots Riley had on. Especially the Wind Element Crystal–she hadn’t even heard of that before,
But for Riley, specialization restrictions meant nothing.
Her workshop was built using the full set of power tools she’d brought with her during the transfer, plus her hidden talent: Omnicrafter. As long as she had the materials, she could make it.
“SpicyBurger: I can make them. You supply the materials. I’ll give you a discount–20% crafting fee.”
PineappleBeer seemed to visibly relax.
“PineappleBeer: That’s great.”
Riley headed to the workshop and laid out the materials on the bench.
“Bzzzt-”
The electric sewing machine and rotary cutter hummed to life.
Even though it was a commission for someone else, Riley took her time and did it right. Especially when handling the Wind Element Crystal–she ground it carefully into a fine powder and evenly worked it into the boot lining.
Ten minutes later, a pair of deep black boots with a faint greenish shimmer rested in her hands.
“Item: Shadow Dancer Boots
“Quality: Rare
“Agility +4, Constitution +1
“Special Effect: Lightfoot (Movement speed +15%, silent landing)
“Rating: An assassin’s dream gear”
“Sweet stats,” Riley murmured, feeling a twinge of envy herself.
