As they walked out of the restaurant, Mr. Yates turned to Leo. "Do you know why Horizon Technologies is targeting you?"

Leo looked at him, waiting for the answer.

"You threaten them," Mr. Yates said flatly.

Leo let out a soft laugh. "A threat? Sounds like they're thinking too small."

Leo stared off into the distance, staying quiet, but Mr. Yates could clearly see the raw ambition burning in the young man's eyes.

Chunky packed up the laptops and pulled the car around. Before driving off, he looked at Mr. Yates and sighed. "It's a damn shame to let skills like yours go to waste."

Leo gave Mr. Yates a firm nod. "Golden Top will always have a spot waiting for you."

With that, Leo got into the car, and they drove off.

In the passenger seat, Leo glanced at his phone, reading the barrage of creative insults his two female relatives were texting him. They hadn't repeated a single word, practically exhausting their brain cells just to chew him out.

"Leo, should we push a little harder for that guy?" Chunky asked, eager to recruit him. "He's the real deal."
