The atmosphere at the table was usually cheerful. Aster and Wendy were die-hard fans of Kevan. They showered him with praise and compliments on everything he did.

Fortunately, Kevan was used to such attention. Throughout dinner, he remained calm and did not let their praises get to his head.

Larissa disapproved of their flattery and refused to associate with them.

She lowered her head and focused on shoving food into her mouth. Larissa did not engage in any conversation that was unrelated to her.

Halfway through the meal, Kevan asked Wendy, "What time will your friend arrive tomorrow? I don't have much to do, so I can help you pick him up."

Wendy had her mouth full of food at that moment. When she heard the question, she almost choked on her dinner. She quickly took some tissue and covered her mouth, coughing and sputtering.

Larissa poured a glass of water for Wendy and patted her back to help her recover. After a long while, Wendy finally caught her breath.

"No need to trouble you, Mr. Rogers! His partner will send a car to pick him up. His hotel arrangements have already been made as well." She waved off Kevan's offer with a nervous expression.

"Alright. If you need anything, just let me know." Kevan did not insist.

"Sure," Wendy answered politely.

Larissa was a little puzzled when she listened to the conversation.

Larissa found herself in a dilemma. She realized it was because she knew too little about Kevan and felt ashamed.

Kevan knew everything about her. He knew her birthday, zodiac sign, blood type, and her preferences. In addition, he remembered the names of her family, friends, and close colleagues.

What impressed her the most was his ability to sense a slight shift in her emotions. Yet, she couldn't reciprocate what he did for her. Kevan noticed Larissa's dejection.

After dinner, he cornered Larissa and forced her to wash the dishes with him.

Wendy and Aster slouched on the sofa with full stomachs. They watched on with amusement, clearly enjoying themselves.
