Larissa and Wendy's flight was on Tuesday morning.
Grumbling, Lewis helped load their luggage in the car and drove them to the airport.
Larissa gave him the keys to her house and Wendy's apartment so that he could help to look after the places and clean up a little from time to time.
Angrily, he asked, "Do you guys think I'm a maid?"
"Of course not!" Larissa hugged his arm and smiled. "You're my dearest beloved cousin!"
"Oh?" Lewis' curiosity was piqued. "Well, you can make your decision now. Between me and Kevan, you can only pick one."
Larissa answered at once, "You!"
She was asking him for a favor, after all. She had to butter him up a little.
It wasn't anything too serious, anyway. As long as he was happy, it was alright.
Lewis' expression didn't change much.
He took out his phone calmly and opened up his DMs with Kevan. Then, he started recording and asked Larissa, "Alright, you can say that again. Between me and Kevan, who are you choosing?"
Larissa stayed quiet this time.
"Hmph!" Lewis sneered and put his phone into his pocket. "You can get your own luggage!" He let go of the cart full of suitcases and pretended not to care about it.
Larissa pouted and grabbed the cart, following him quickly. She said humbly, "You might not be my most beloved, but I still love you! Lewis! Lewis! Don't be mad anymore!"
Lewis' face was no longer as tense.
"Don't you dare try that on me." He quickened his footsteps, moving away from her siren-like abilities.
Wendy followed them, watching them enviously.
"You and Lewis are so good together," she said to Larissa.
"You have to send me a report every night telling me what you did every day. Don't you dare slack off!"
Larissa had held back her tears for a long time, but they all disappeared now. She pushed him away in a huff and said through gritted teeth, "Got it."
Lewis smiled and patted her on the head.
"Be safe. Text me when you get there."
"Alright," Larissa agreed.
"Wendy." Lewis turned toward Wendy and spread his arms. "Do you want to say your farewells? I can be a stand-in for your friends and relatives. That way you won't be so lonely."
Wendy rolled her eyes. She knew that he was still holding a grudge against her for the time she scolded him. He was using this chance to mock her now.
But since he'd offered it, there was no point in refusing it.
