Chapter 94
Aria’s POV
Isla went to find Grayson.
And me? I had no idea what the hell I was supposed to do now.
So I just wandered out of the dining room like a zombie, stepping over rubble and broken glass until I made it downstairs.

Thankfully, the gala had already ended before the fight broke out, and most guests had already gone back to their hotels. There weren’t too many injuries.
But the main hall was still a disaster. The collapsed chandelier had destroyed almost everything.
Nora and Delilah were already there, trying to keep things under control.
“Aria!” Delilah ran over the moment she saw me. “What the hell happened? Where’s my brother?!”
I shook my head weakly, my voice hoarse. “I–I don’t know… He and Alpha Otto got into a fight, and… and everything went crazy after that…”
“White River Pack’s soldiers are outside,” Nora said, her tone sharp and urgent. “They’re trying to force their way in, claiming someone tried to harm their Alpha. The only one who can stop this now is Alpha Grayson. Do you know where he went?”
“No… I don’t.” I hugged my head and sank to the floor, overwhelmed. “I have no idea where he is… I’m sorry…”
Everyone expected me to know where Grayson was.
But the most ironic thing?
The one who knew him best was still his ex–wife.
Delilah and Nora exchanged a glance. I must’ve looked really pathetic, because Delilah softened her voice. “Don’t worry. I’m sure he’ll be back soon. You should get some rest. You look like you’re about to pass out.”
I nodded numbly and dropped onto a random spot among the wreckage. Honestly, my legs barely had the strength to hold me up anymore.
Where the hell did Grayson go?
I felt like I should get up and look for him. Do something. But my body wasn’t cooperating. I couldn’t even stand.
God, why was I so useless?
I’d never hated my weak wolf more than I did right now.
“Oh my god, you’re bleeding.”
A voice snapped me out of my spiral. I looked up to see that young healer from the White River Pack named Malik crouched in front of me, his eyes wide with concern.
“Huh? What?” I muttered, dazed.
“You’re bleeding! Don’t you feel it?” He pointed to my shoulder.

I looked down. Only then did I realize that my entire upper half was soaked in blood. My shoulder wound must’ve reopened again.
“Oh. It’s… it’s nothing-”
“Nothing?!” he exclaimed. “You’ve lost so much blood your face is pale as a ghost. Please, let me help. Just a quick treatment.”

I just wanted to be alone, but he was too damn persistent. Before I could even respond, he was already tearing my sleeve open and pulling out bandages and cotton pads like some kind of magic trick.
“Wait, did you seriously have all that on you this whole time?” I asked.
“Of course. It’s a basic trait of a professional healer.” He puffed out his chest. “You are now looking at the most promising healer of the next decade.”
His cocky tone caught me off guard, and I let out a tired chuckle. “Okay, then… who’s the current best healer?”
“Huh… I guess I’d have to say… Alpha Otto.”
The second he said that name, my chest tightened again.
That man might be the only one capable of healing me–but I’d honestly rather die than let him lay a hand on me.
Malik cleaned the blood off my shoulder with gentle, practiced hands, then wrapped it tightly. “There. This is just temporary, of course. But seriously, you have to take your condition more seriously. If this keeps going, your weak wolf will start dragging your whole body down. You’ll burn out completely.”
Did he think I didn’t already know that?
“So… have you given any more thought to my theory?” he asked, eyes full of hope. “If you want, you could come to White River Pack with me. Let me treat you. Your case is super rare–highly valuable for research!”
“Your theory?” I looked at him, raising a brow. “But your Alpha called your theory total bullshit. He literally said you were a scammer.”
“WHAT?!”
Malik’s entire face went pale, like his whole belief system had just crumbled. “A–Alpha Otto said that? But–how did he even diagnose you?!”
“He said my symptoms are caused by some kind of neurotoxin. Once the poison is out, I’ll be fine.”
“That’s impossible!” Malik blurted out. “Neurological toxins present totally different symptoms!”
Then he hesitated.
“But wait… Alpha Otto is the best healer in the world. His diagnoses are never wrong… so what the hell is going on?”
He looked like he was on the verge of a breakdown, torn between trusting himself and worshipping his Alpha.
But I didn’t have time to help him through his identity crisis. Honestly, my brain was a mess already.
And then, we heard shouting outside.
A burst of noise. People yelling. Running. Screaming.
“Alpha Grayson’s back!”

My heart instantly leapt into my throat. I scrambled to my feet and bolted toward the exit.
“Wait! Where are you going?! You need to rest!” Malik grabbed my arm.
“Let go of me!” I growled.
“Can you please reconsider my theory?” he pleaded. “I–I still don’t know what exactly went wrong, but I swear it’s not a neurotoxin. Your condition might be way more complicated than we think-”
Tripped my arm free. “I don’t give a damn about my condition right now, okay?! I’ve got way more important shit to deal with. So stay the fuck away from me!”
I ran out of the hall, stumbling a little as I followed the direction of the chaos. I asked everyone I passed where Grayson was, but no one had a clear answer.
Finally, I saw a group of doctors heading upstairs into the packhouse.
I followed them.
There were people everywhere upstairs–doctors, nurses, even elders–but not a single familiar face. I shoved my way through the crowd until I reached a room with two guards standing out front.
“Is he in there?!” I rushed forward. “Let me in, I’m his girlfriend!”
But the guards didn’t move. They just stared at me like statues.
“Didn’t you hear me?!” I shouted. “I need to see him, I need to know if he’s okay-”
The door suddenly swung open.
Isla stepped out.
“Thank you, boys,” she said politely to the guards, then turned to me, her expression turning cold. “What are you yelling about? He needs
rest.”
“H–how is he?” I stammered. “I need to see him.”
She gave me a smirk. “You need to see him? And what exactly do you think you’re going to do for him?”
“I–I can help calm him down. I know he needs me, I-”
“What he needs is me,” she interrupted sharply. “I’m the one who calmed him when he lost control. I’m the one who brought him back. And when he was lying in there just now, the only name he called… was mine.”
My heart stopped.
He… he called her name?
Isla smiled, and that was like a dagger to my chest. “He even said… he was grateful I was here today,”

when can we expect more chapters?...
Yay chapter 210 🙌🏻 I hope the next few chapters come quicker 🙏 even one a week would be great. I’m just imagining the conversation Aria will have to have with Grayson. Like to be honest there is so many reasons not to even think about marrying Grayson. * She wasn’t good enough before but due to this unexpected twist of fate she is all of a sudden good enough. * The obvious betrayal. She gave him her whole heart & soul. He didn’t just break her heart but shattered it. * She asked if he believed her about Isla & he said it didn’t matter. Ummm excuse me it 100% matters. If he doesn’t believe her then there is no trust or faith in her. *He said that he didn’t want to get married or have children but all of a sudden he does?? She would have to make sure that he actually wants to marry her & have children. Not just because he might lose her. She wouldn’t want his to resent her later because he got pushed into a corner. Plus he did say he would Especially not marry Aria. *Grayson is not an ally yet & doesn’t have Alpha Thalira’s favour. Eren would be a good match. They could learn to love each other & he is willing to fully support her as an Alpha (if she becomes Alpha) Even Zane would be a great Match. He genuinely loves her & would 100% support her & make her happy. I think Grayson has a lot of deep reflection to do, realise his true feelings & convey them to Aria. I think he might have to take a more submissive approach to be with Aria. God so much to consider & I’m super excited to get the next few chapters to see who her suitors are...
I’m hoping that you have taken so long for new chapters because you are going to release a few at a time. Can you at least tell us when we should expect a new chapter or a few? Loving this story <3...
