Genesis watched as Tadgh’s eyes lit up as she came down the stairs for their date.

“Wow.”

“It’s jeans and sweater.” Genesis waved her hands over body.

“Jeans which fit you like a glove, and your sweater is

cashmere, and it makes me want to rub against you.”

She pursed her lips trying not to laugh. “You want to rub against me huh? Because of the sweater?”

“Without the sweater even more so. You going to take it off?”

“Yes.” She nodded playfully, “at bedtime when it’s time for my

pjs.” His crestfallen expression made her giggle.

“I love that giggle.” Tadgh held his hand out. When she took it,

he smiled nervously, “hi beautiful.”

“Hi Tadgh. You look good too.” She let her eyes rove over his body. He was also in jeans but paired with a blue button–up ang his leather jacket.

“You guys are off?” Lorcan’s voice called from the direction of

the kitchen.

“We are,” Genesis looked over her shoulder. He’d come

home while she’d been getting ready for her date, and he’d

come straight to her room to kiss her hello and to inquire

on how she was feeling after the events of the night before.

He’d been sweet and attentive and the hug he’d given when

she admitted she was nervous of her date with Tadgh, was reassuring and loving. “Make sure Egan gets to bed on time.”

He winked, “yes, princess.” He pointed at Tadgh, “bring her home in one piece.”

“Yes sir.” Tadgh nodded. “Where’s Kiefer? He’s not seeing us

off?”

“He’s with Egan in the office. They’re deciding which bed he

wants for his new room.”

“Tell him we’ll see him tomorrow.”

hell.”

He grabbed the belt loops of her jeans and yanked her closer to him. “You thought it was sexy?”

“Yes. Then I was with Kiefer, and I pushed any thoughts away

of you, but I always thought you were sexy, Tadgh. Then you

“You bought me a leather jacket?” She shrugged into it. She sniffed the arm of it and grinned, “leather smells so good.”

“I think so too,” he straddled the bike and when she wrapped her arms around his waist, the way his hands clutched hers to his abdomen was as if he were making certain she was actually there gripping him. The engine roared to life, and he gave a loud shout of joy as they took off.

She hold onto Tadgh as they raced down the driveway, surprised when he popped a wheelie, pulling the bike up on its back whool before they reached the road. When she clutched him tighter, she knew why he did the wheelie.
