A Slap in the Face 211
Chapter 211 Cyber Retaliation

A slight smile touched her lips as she stood quietly behind Eugene, letting him unleash hell on the school on her behalf.
From behind her, Noah let out a low whistle. “Damn, the Carters really go all out for you. I’ve run into Eugene a few times–always the polite, polished type, like one of those smooth–talking lawyers. Never imagined he could blow up like this. I figured he’d just keep that calm smile while tearing the principal apart verbally.
“Hannah’s really dug her own grave this time.
“Seriously, what was she even thinking? Accusing us of cheating without a shred of real evidence–did she think nobody would question it?”
Isabella’s eyes narrowed slightly. “She’s not stupid,” she replied evenly. “She knew thay vague rumors could do more damage than solid proof ever could.”
Her expression remained cool.

It wouldn’t be easy to catch her and Noah red–handed–not that Hannah had the means to pull that off anyway. But loose accusations, combined with the Wayne family’s influence and reputation, could easily spark a major scandal.
So the moment Hannah saw Noah’s practice worksheet, she’d already set her nasty plan in motion.
What she hadn’t counted on was that Isabella and Noah actually had the skills to clear their names–without
cutting corners.
They’d earned those scores fair and square.
And Isabella’s abilities, in particular, went far beyond what Hannah had ever imagined.
If it had been someone else who couldn’t explain where that worksheet came from, they would’ve been completely at Hannah’s mercy.
After all, Hannah never really expected the school to take official action–she just wanted Isabella and Noah torn apart in the court of public opinion.
And she’d even dragged the Wayne name into it.
Isabella’s tone turned cold.
Her phone screen glowed faintly in her hand.
The tiny Bluetooth earpiece in her ear caught the light with a subde, icy gleam.
Through those two devices, Isabella’s mind was already connected to her laptop, and she was working quietly across the internet.
Meanwhile, somewhere else. Jacob had just finished paying off a handful of social media accounts and was

Suddenly, his phone froze completely–then went black.

just the cyber unit this time–the actual police reporting system.
Once that was done, she wiped every trace of her activity clean.
To her, Hannah’s little schemes weren’t even a real threat.
But just because she didn’t care didn’t mean the Wayne family felt the same.
Thinking about the family’s public standing, Isabella had no intention of letting Hannah’s carefully prepared online rumors and shady accusations gain any traction.
As for Jacob’s gambling debts–close to six figures, which Hannah had quietly covered for him–Isabella leaked that, too.
Not to the police, though.
She sent it straight to Jacob’s family and his loan sharks.
Jacob wouldn’t have racked up that much debt from just one lender. And his family could certainly use a “benefactor” like Hannah to keep helping them out.
