Chapter 246 Kevin’s Outrage

He couldn’t help leaning toward Isabella beside him and remarking, “Take a good look up there. Every single interaction with those two demo robots–there’s a delay of about one to two seconds.
“For a regular presentation, a second or two might not seem like a big deal. But in precision work, evenja tenth of a second can throw everything off.
“And what is Powell Group building these machines for–just for show? To sit on some executive’s shelf as trophy? Or maybe end up as overpriced toys? Definitely not.
“These are meant for real industrial settings, doing high–stakes work in advanced manufacturing.
“Yet here they are, with nearly a two–second lag. Think about the hidden technical overhauls that would demand. How much time and money would a company have to sink just to adapt their workflow to these
slow machines?
“And what’s worse…”
Kevin couldn’t hold back–he struck the armrest of his chair firmly and said coldly, “I’ve seen complete performance specs on overseas neural–interface systems before. Maybe not the latest or most advanced models, but that’s what makes this so frustrating. Jeremy didn’t bring a shred of that actual technology. He just dragged over some outdated surplus stock to pawn off on us.
“And now the Powell team is over there celebrating like they’ve won the lottery.
“Do they really think they got something cutting–edge?
“What they paid a fortune for is basically foreign refurbished goods–or worse, leftover inventory nobody else wanted.”
If Jeremy had put in even eighty percent of genuine R&D effort, Kevin wouldn’t have been so irritated.
Watching the celebration unfolding across the venue, he felt genuinely disheartened.
It was like watching a homegrown company work its heart out, only to be played for fools.
When he finished, Isabella blinked slightly. She hadn’t meant to get the older man so worked up–she’d only wanted him to examine Powell’s product for comparison with their own.
After a moment, she responded gently, “You’re absolutely right. If they had adjusted this part of the data even slightly, they could’ve cut the delay by at least a third. But Jeremy didn’t bother–that’s really not acceptable.”
It was more than “not acceptable“.
Jeremy was aiming to cash in while refusing to share any real know–how in return.
He was clearly treating Powell Group like complete amateurs.
When Isabella said that, Eugene and his team didn’t react much, but Kevin and the technical staff from Carter Group looked over at her in pleasant surprise.

“You can actually follow this, young lady?!”
Kevin gestured toward the lines of code and streaming data on the large display.
That live interaction feed was part of demonstrating the system’s capabilities.
But Kevin hadn’t expected Isabella to be able to read it.
He’d only been venting casually and didn’t think she’d grasp any of the technical details.

After all, probably eighty percent of the technical staff in the room wouldn’t fully understand what he’d just explained.
When he spoke, Isabella blinked again, realizing she might have revealed a bit too much
