Chapter 343 The Leather Whip
“Useless trash!”
His voice was chilled to the bone.
He had already sent analysts to evaluate the two assets Damian had won, finding no immediate red flags with Powell Tower.
But the Cloud Computing Research Facility was an entirely hollowed–out shell.
Adrian had long since pledged all proprietary hardware and patents to Jeremy Perez as licensing guarantees.
In other words, the research facility was nothing more than an empty, worthless facade.
Most infuriatingly, his intelligence team had missed the transfer entirely, since Adrian had kept the transaction strictly off the books, and with the scandal freshly broken, outsiders held no visibility.
Even within Powell Group, only the most trusted inner circle had handled the paperwork.
Consequently, not a whisper had leaked to the market.
Preston’s face was dark as a thundercloud.
Five billion dollars, squandered on two hollow piles of scrap.
He was practically choking on his own fury.
He would have preferred tossing Damian a couple hundred million to throw away on petty harassment.
At least that wouldn’t have been this humiliating.
Boiling rage burned in Preston’s chest.
He barked coldly, “Get on your knees!”
Damian shuddered, lacking the courage to defy his father and dropping to the floor.
Crack!
Preston brought a heavy whip down across Damian’s shoulders.
His private office featured rugged, aggressive decor, adorned with exotic game mounts.
Taking down a braided rawhide whip coiled along the wall, he lashed Damian with merciless fury.
The leather strip was thick as a man’s thumb, landing with brutal thuds that tore through cloth and drew blood, leaving Damian wailing in agony.
Preston’s expression remained stone cold, unmoved by his son’s pathetic cries.
A brainless degenerate, burning through generational wealth.
The Keller family’s liquid treasury was emptied out on paper.
Where was he supposed to drum up replacement liquidity in the short term?
Off–book profits took time to wash and rotate back into clean accounts.
Incapable of success, yet an expert at catastrophic ruin.
