A Superpowered Warrior in a Fake Heiress’s Body
Chapter 383 Traitor in the Garden
With that in mind, he dialed another number.
Still, he couldn’t shake the question. Who on earth managed to stabilize Raymond Sinclair?
Ah, d*mn it, he had forgotten Raymond hadn’t ingested taxine toxins for quite some time.
If someone flagged the anomalies and flushed the residues out, wasn’t recovery entirely possible?
Turning the thought over, he quickly pushed the puzzle to the back of his mind.
Meanwhile, over at the Sinclair estate.
A resident staff member received an incoming call.
Moments later, he began packing his bags, looking around suspiciously as he prepared to bolt.
Yet the second he stepped toward the departure vehicle, a team of trained operatives sprang from the shadows and pinned him to the pavement.
Dragging him out of the vehicle, Julian stepped forward with an icy glare, raspy and cold, “Warren, I never expected it to be you.”
Ever since Isabella suspected a Keller mole had infiltrated the estate, they had kept quiet to avoid tipping their hand.
It was Warren Hayes who had gotten nervous, discreetly fishing for information regarding Raymond’s whereabouts.
Learning that Raymond had moved into Isabella’s private estate, panic had gripped him momentarily before he steadied his nerves.
He had even offered to pack Raymond’s favorite coffee beans into gift sachets to send over, only for Isabella to decline the gesture.
After that, he had gone dark.
Once Julian confirmed Raymond had been poisoned, they began quietly vetting every staff member across the estate.
In the end, the audit led straight to Warren Hayes.
While the coffee beans Warren previously handed Julian showed no trace of tampering, forensic swabs from Raymond’s personal coffee mugs yielded microscopic residues of taxine- faint, but undeniable.
Most critically, surveillance logs revealed Warren took daily walks at fixed hours through the courtyard garden–the exact spot where ornamental yews were planted.
Tracing back further, ever since those yews were introduced, Warren had strolled through that grove daily, and the initial landscaping proposal to plant them had come directly from him.
Put together, the chain of custody was airtight.
Federal agents had tailed him around the clock, finally moving in to collar him the second he attempted to flee.

Where did he get the nerve?
