The Abandoned Luna's Journey to Power (by Emily Reed) novel Chapter 352

Chapter 352 A Massive Conspiracy

Cindy’s POV:

The terrain of the Bloodridge Mountains was extremely dangerous. Poisonous mists lingered there all year round. The worst part was that the mountains bordered the territory of the Vampire Empire. It was a chaotic zone that belonged to no one. King Ryken’s surveillance network was extremely weak there.

At that moment, every clue connected together like a flash of lightning.

Princess Margaret had been gathering wealth like a madwoman within the Royal Court. She would even deceive Queen Isabella just to get hold of her private savings. The Scarlet Pack behind Leanna controlled the mines and mercenary forces within Prince Niall’s territory. Prince Niall, meanwhile, was eager to marry into the Blaze Pack in the south in order to secure even more financial support.

So that was it. So that was the truth.

Behind everything lay a shocking conspiracy between Prince Niall and Princess Margaret. Using Princess Margaret’s funds and private territory as cover, they had been secretly recruiting soldiers deep within the Bloodridge Mountains, quietly building a force powerful enough to overturn the royal throne.

“He’s far more terrifying than you imagine. Far older as well…” Sephiria’s voice grew weaker and weaker. Her hand slowly slipped from my wrist. “Cindy… Promise me… Go and live a good life. Be safe with Prince Adam. D-don’t ever become enemies with that monster for my sake…”

After saying those words, it was as if Sephiria ha exhausted the final bit of strength left in her life.

Her chest rose sharply once, then slowly sank back down.

Her eyes remained half open, but the focus had lisappeared. She had fallen into a deep sleep.

“Sephiria! Sephiria!”

I threw myself beside the bed and called out to her loudly, but she gave no response.

I collapsed onto the cold stone floor, my body drenched in cold sweat, while my heart pounded wildly in my chest.

With the last bit of clarity before death, Sephiria had revealed to me a bloody conspiracy hidden beneath years of scandals and rumors,

Prince Niall was not a useless man. He was a giant wolf hiding patiently in the shadows, sharpening his fangs and waiting for the perfect moment to strike a fatal blow against King Ryken’s throne.

The Moon Goddess Festival, the grandest and most passionate celebration in the werewolf world, was about to begin. Silver decorations could be seen everywhere.

According to the Royal Court’s calendar, there were exactly three days left before the official opening of the festival.

At this moment, the capital was likely already filled with lights and decorations. Every street should be lined with totems that pray for the blessing of the Moon Goddess. The air would be rich with the scent of roasted meat and the sweet aroma of malt beer.

Yet inside Coldmoon Monastery, only a day or two from the Royal Court, there wasn’t even the slightest hint of the festival. There was only endless silence, and a cold so bitter it seemed to freeze a person’s soul.
