Hearing this, Henry simply took his hand back and began to slowly dry his hair with a towel, showing no intention of leaving.
Seeing that he wasn't moving, Genevieve sat up and snatched the towel from his hand. "Henry, I told you to leave, did you hear me?!"
Henry turned and sized her up.
They had just finished making love, and the air was still thick with the scent of intimacy. Genevieve was only in her underwear, and as she sat up, the blanket slipped down, revealing the pale skin of her torso, dotted with red marks.
Henry's Adam's apple bobbed. Desire stirred within him again.
He smirked devilishly, wrapped an arm around her, and, ignoring her protests, leaned in to kiss her, his hands starting to rekindle the fire.
Genevieve's eyes widened. She bit down hard on his lip and pushed him away. "Henry!"
"What? Now that the drug has worn off, you want to cast me aside?" Henry wiped the blood from his lip. "Don't forget, Genevieve. Last night, you were the one crying and begging me to take you."
Henry's blunt words exposed the embarrassing events of the previous night, and Genevieve flew into a rage. "If you hadn't suddenly shown up back in the country, I never would have slept with you!"
The scent had affected her just as it had Elias.
After Elias left, the aphrodisiac's effects grew stronger until Genevieve could no longer control herself.
She had been about to take matters into her own hands when the doorbell rang.
Thinking it was Elias, unable to stay away and having come back for her, she had run barefoot to the door without a second thought.
But the person outside wasn't Elias. It was Henry.
By then, she was nearly consumed by desire. The moment Henry touched her, she saw him as Elias and pressed herself against him, begging him to take her.
Genevieve had always been skilled in bed.
And Henry was no saint. Faced with such a tempting offer, he certainly wasn't going to pass it up. He had embraced her and responded with equal passion.
Henry sneered, "Genevieve, it's been half a year, but you haven't changed a bit."
"I don't want to talk about this. I've given you the fifty million. Now get out," Genevieve said, her face grim as she threw off the covers to head to the bathroom.
Veins throbbed at Henry's temples. He grabbed her wrist and, before she could react, flipped her onto her back and pinned her beneath him. "Whether I go or not isn't up to you."
"Henry!"
After two years of marriage, Henry knew Genevieve's body intimately. His fingers played over her skin, and he whispered, "Keep your voice down. Save your energy for later, my dear ex-wife."
"Ah…"
A jolt like an electric current shot through her, and Genevieve moaned, instinctively arching into his touch.

After their passionate encounter.
Henry, feeling relaxed and satisfied, agreed without hesitation. "Who?"
"Victoria."
Genevieve's expression was venomous, as if she were forcing the name through clenched teeth. "I need to know where she was last night and who she was with."
"Her again?" Henry propped his head up with his hands and fell silent for a moment before getting up. "Fine. Consider it payment for a good time last night. I'll have an answer for you tomorrow."
Genevieve clenched her fists. "No. I need to know tonight."
Henry disliked being rushed and frowned in annoyance.
Having been with Henry for so long, Genevieve knew his personality well. She pulled a card from under her pillow and handed it to him. "There's five hundred thousand in here. The PIN is my birthday. If you can find out tonight, it's yours."
Henry took the card. "Tonight isn't impossible, but… I just got back in the country, and I haven't found a place to stay yet…"
"I'll cover your hotel expenses," Genevieve offered.
"A hotel isn't as convenient as your place," Henry said with a roguish smirk, his meaning clear.
Genevieve understood him and blurted out, "You want to stay here? No! That's impossible!"
If Elias found out Henry was here, she would never be able to explain it!
"In that case, I'll get to it when I get to it." Having just received fifty million, Henry didn't particularly care about another five hundred thousand. He tossed the card aside and went back on his word.
