The Abandoned Wife Dumped Him First (Victoria and Elias) novel Chapter 210

Victoria turned to see who had spoken, her eyes narrowing.

Sunny glared at the woman, retorting angrily, "Rose, what's that supposed to mean? What Victoria does is none of your business. Why are you butting in?"

Rose crossed her arms, glancing at Victoria before turning her mocking gaze to Sunny. "Sunny, Victoria's about to get kicked out, and you're still defending her. You really are a loyal lapdog."

"Rose, you—" Sunny lunged forward, ready to tear into Rose.

"Sunny!" Victoria grabbed her arm, giving her a look that told her to calm down.

Sunny understood and glanced over her shoulder.

She saw several colleagues, who had long since become Genevieve Vale's sycophants, holding up their phones, recording them.

Aurelian Central had a strict policy: no physical altercations between colleagues on company grounds. Anyone caught would be fired.

Sunny had recently gotten married and was planning to try for a baby soon. She couldn't afford to lose her job over something like this.

Rose smirked, knowing Sunny wouldn't dare to touch her. She deliberately leaned in closer, taunting her.

"What's the matter, Sunny? Weren't you going to hit me? Go on. Did you lose your nerve?"

Sunny's face flushed with anger. "Rose, don't push it!"

Rose shrugged nonchalantly. "Seems you're not such a good little lapdog after—"

A sharp slap echoed through the office.

Rose's head snapped to the side. She froze, then clutched her cheek, her eyes wide with disbelief as she stared at Victoria.

"Victoria, you hit me!"

Victoria's expression was blank as she took a step closer. "That's right. I did."

Infuriated, Rose raised her hand to strike back.

Another slap landed on Rose's other cheek.

Victoria seized Rose's wrist, her gaze cold and steady.

"Victoria! Aaaah!" Rose shrieked, struggling violently and trying to lunge at her.

"What is all this noise? If you don't want to work here, just leave your resignation letters on my desk. I'll approve them immediately!"

Felice Donald strode over, her face stern as she reprimanded them.

"Ms. Donald, I didn't! It was Rose who—" Sunny knew Felice was about to blame her and Victoria regardless of the facts and tried to defend herself.

"I don't care what your conflict with Rose is about, arguing is wrong! I don't want to hear another word!" Felice cut her off coldly. "Since this is your first offense, thirty percent of your quarterly bonus will be deducted as a penalty. Now get back to your desk and do your job!"

As Sunny listened, her eyes filled with disappointment.

"Why are you still standing here? Didn't you hear what I said?" Felice's face hardened when Sunny didn't move.

Sunny bit her lower lip.

Victoria knew Sunny was worried about her and gave her a reassuring look.

Only then did Sunny reluctantly return to her desk.

Rose lowered her head to hide the triumphant glint in her eyes. She glanced at Victoria and reminded Felice, "Ms. Donald, what about Victoria? Both of these slaps were from her…"

Before she could finish, Felice shot her a warning look.

Rose flinched but was unwilling to back down. She pushed on, "According to company rules, physical assault is grounds for termination."

Felice frowned, her patience completely gone.
