The Abandoned Wife Dumped Him First (Victoria and Elias) novel Chapter 274

The air in the room thickened with a sudden, suffocating tension the moment the words left her lips.

Elias's face turned dark as he asked in a low, menacing voice, "Victoria, say that again?"

Victoria's eyelashes fluttered. She paused, then repeated in a calm, clear voice, "The only reason I let you stay was because you had a high fever and nowhere to go. But now that you've recovered, there's no need for you to be here anymore."

Elias's gaze turned instantly to ice.

As it landed on Victoria, she felt as if her blood had frozen in her veins.

His presence was so overpowering that she was afraid she would falter.

Her hand, hanging by her side, clenched unconsciously. "Mr. Shawn, I won't see you out."

With that, she turned to go back to her bedroom.

A vein throbbed in Elias's temple. He shot up from the sofa and closed the distance in a single stride.

Victoria sensed the oppressive presence closing in behind her. Before she could react, her wrist was seized in a powerful grip.

Her back slammed hard against the wall. Pain shot through her, feeling as if her bones had fractured.

"Eli—"

Elias gripped her jaw, forcing her head up. "Victoria," he snarled through gritted teeth, "who gave you the nerve to use me and then throw me away!?"

Victoria hissed in pain.

In just a few moments, red marks had already formed on her chin from his grip.

Her neck tensed, and she stared silently at Elias.

Her silence only fueled his fury. His grip tightened. "Answer me!"

Victoria's face paled. She pushed his hand away and pressed herself against the wall, her voice cold and laced with sarcasm. "Isn't sex always a consensual act? If you weren't willing yesterday, Mr. Shawn, you were free to refuse me. I wouldn't have minded finding someone else."

The subtext cut deeper than any blade: he wasn't Elias Shawn to her last night—he was just a warm body, as anonymous and replaceable as a stranger on the street.

His chest tightened with fury. He was about to explode.

"VICTORIA SANGER!"

"Of course, if you feel that I used you and you're truly angry, Mr. Shawn, I can compensate you." As she spoke, Victoria emotionlessly raised her hand and began to unbutton her shirt.

"Ngh..." Victoria whimpered in pain, instinctively trying to push him away.

But Elias didn't let go. He bit down even harder, and soon, the metallic taste of blood filled her mouth.

He tore her clothes, his hand closing over her.

Victoria felt no pleasure, only pain. The cold of the wall against her skin shocked her back to her senses. She met Elias's frosty gaze and felt his merciless touch, as if he meant to consume her whole. A sliver of fear crept up from the depths of her soul.

Her heart felt like it had sunk to the bottom of the ocean, and she couldn't breathe.

She shrank back instinctively. "Don't..."

She was afraid.

But Elias was lost in a frenzy, completely deaf to her pleas.

"Ah!"

There was no tenderness left between them, only a violent, brutal release...
