Backstage, a stylist was putting the finishing touches on Genevieve's look. "Miss Vale, you look absolutely beautiful today," the stylist gushed. "If I'm not mistaken, that's a new dress from Chanel, isn't it? I heard there are only ten in the world. I know quite a few socialites who couldn't get their hands on one."

A smile played on Genevieve's red lips. She glanced down at her outfit, suddenly feeling that paying five times the market price for the dress just to be the special guest host was worth every penny.

"Is that so? I had no idea it was so hard to get," she said, feigning surprise. "Someone prepared it for me. I didn't even know."

"Was it a gift from Mr. Shawn, Miss Vale?"

Genevieve gave a coy smile and didn't deny it.

The stylist took the hint, her face full of envy. "Mr. Shawn treats you so well, Miss Vale."

A staff member approached and reminded her respectfully, "Miss Vale, the ceremony is about to begin."

Just then, the stylist finished her work.

Genevieve nodded, took the microphone, and looked toward the stage, a dark glint in her beautiful eyes.

As if remembering something, she asked in a gentle voice, "By the way, has Victoria arrived yet?"

"Not yet," the staff member replied.
