The Abandoned Wife Dumped Him First (Victoria and Elias) novel Chapter 40

Elias pressed down on the bite mark without mercy, the mixture of pain and sensation sending shivers down Victoria's spine.

Victoria bit her lip, refusing to make a sound.

"Are you that afraid of him hearing you?" Elias's eyes were dark and terrifying, like a predator about to tear its prey apart. His cool fingers slid from the bite mark to her jaw, tilting her head up. "Fine, Victoria. Let's see how long you can hold out."

A jolt of horrifying familiarity shot through her. She suddenly remembered what had happened in the restaurant at the Shawn family estate.

Her pupils constricted, and she began to struggle violently.

With a cold expression, Elias used his knee to pin her legs down. He grabbed her wrists with one hand, holding them high above her head and completely robbing her of any chance to resist.

"Elias—"

Before she could finish, she felt a sudden coolness against her skin.

The sound of fabric tearing was shockingly loud and obscene in the quiet room, where only their breathing could be heard.

In the dim light, her delicate, translucent skin was exposed. The alluring curves of her body, accentuated by her black lingerie, rose and fell with each breath. She was like a flower bud waiting to be plucked, exuding a tempting fragrance.

Elias's eyes darkened. He gripped her chin and kissed her forcefully, his cool fingertips expertly igniting fires on every sensitive part of her body. He trailed down from her collarbone, his touch eventually reaching her lower abdomen.

Their bodies were pressed together, the heat between them rising, the air thick with a dangerous intimacy.

Victoria's body tensed. A jolt of electricity shot from her spine to her limbs. An overwhelming sense of violation and discomfort washed over her, and she felt her control slipping.

Through it all, she could still hear Justin's anxious voice from the phone. "Victoria? Are you okay?"

She clenched her fists, instinctively wanting to bite her lip to keep from making a sound.

Elias smirked, a cruel twist to his lips. He used his free hand to gently brush across her lips, preventing her from biting them. His warm breath tickled her ear. "Go on, Victoria. Scream. Don't hold back."

His fingers, resting on a sensitive spot, pressed down.

"Mmm..."

A soft moan escaped her lips. It was quiet, but undeniably sensual.

On the other end of the line, Justin seemed to have heard something. There was a moment of stunned silence. He was no stranger to the world, and he knew exactly what that sound meant. His heart skipped a beat. "Victoria—"

He lowered his head, his lips crashing down on hers in a brutal, punishing kiss. He gripped her jaw with one hand, forcing her mouth open and invading her.

Victoria fought against the tie binding her wrists, her body twisting as she tried to push him away.

But her strength was nothing compared to that of a man determined to make her pay.

Forced to endure his relentless assault, her chest heaved. Her vision blurred as she stared into the depths of his eyes.

She saw contempt, mockery, and cold indifference—but not a trace of passion. He was looking at her as if she were a toy in the palm of his hand.

Why? Why did he keep doing this to her?

Victoria's hands clenched into fists. Her eyes red with unshed tears, she summoned a final surge of courage and bit down hard on her own tongue.

The sharp pain brought tears streaming down her face.

She hadn't held back. The taste of blood quickly filled her mouth. Elias above her froze, pulling back with a changed expression. He gripped her jaw tightly. "Victoria, are you insane?!"

Victoria was trying to kill herself?!
