Iris didn’t have any idea if you could do it during your monthly cycle, but then she was rather clueless and was so blind about these kinds of things.

Cane kissed Iris’ bare shoulder, as she was in deep sleep, unaware of her surroundings. The Alpha had just finished wiping and cleaning her up after their intimate moment.

Thankfully, there was not much blood on the sheets, because more than this, Cane would have thought he had hurt her again, but seeing how she was sleeping peacefully made a smile appear on his lips. His usually cold eyes softened a little bit every time he looked at her.

Cane leaned over and kissed her bare shoulder. "Thank you," he whispered softly and genuinely.

Only when the noise from outside grew a little bit louder as they prepared to leave before the sunrise did Cane reluctantly leave the carriage and put the blanket over Iris’ body.

He walked toward the white bear and stared at the creature, which was still sleeping soundly on the ground. Its fur had turned brown because of dirt and it looked so pitiful.

"I thought, Iris would come to check on this bear. I am surprised to see you here," Ethan said, as he approached Cane, who was staring at Lil Thing. The Gamma was slightly worried the Alpha would behead this silly bear in its sleep.

Cane only glanced at his gamma. Of course, he had taken care of the matter with Iris and she wouldn’t be bothered by this bear for another few hours.

The Alpha resumed his callous demeanor whenever his mate was not around. Some warriors even felt it was so hard to approach him, because the Alpha was too intimidating, thus they were always dumbstruck at the sight of how easy the Luna was with him.

"Will Lou pick up his pet?" Cane asked and Ethan scrunched his nose.
