The Apocalypse Survival Manual (Three Days Before Doomsday, I Stockpiled Billions) novel Chapter 582

Chapter 582

Parents who truly loved their children had to think about what would happen to them in the future.

From now on, they were done being soft. No more coddling, no more spoiling. No matter how hard it was, their children had to grow up fast.

As a result, more and more privileged kids were dragged outside and put through brutal training in the freezing polar night.

The young women who once dressed in designer clothes and spent their afternoons eating pastries now stumbled around with messy hair, feeding quail and collecting eggs covered in droppings. They could barely hide their disgust.

Because of the old social connections between their families, Marcus even organized the bodyguards to train the younger generation. The training included running, sit-ups, boxing, and hand-to-hand combat.

For a while, the neighborhood echoed with their cries of misery, while their newly hard-line parents seemed almost invigorated.

“Keep going! Don’t let them quit!”

They had been spoiled long enough. Just look at Marcus! His family had more money and influence than any of theirs, yet he still went out on patrol and knew how to handle himself in a fight. A little pressure would do them good.

The wealthy parents crowded around Marcus, urging him to show their pampered kids a few moves.

Marcus didn’t hesitate. “Anyone wanna come up here and spar with me?”

“I will.” A young woman in expensive clothes raised her hand. “You don’t mind, do you, Marcus?”

She’d heard Marcus would be joining the patrol, so she’d made a point of dressing up before coming out.

She stepped forward with an elegant smile and said sweetly, “Go easy on me?”

She’d had enough of this miserable life. Now her family was forcing her to train on top of everything else. It was ridiculous.

Marcus was still single. If she could catch his eye and somehow marry into the Robinson family, maybe she could go back to eating well and living comfortably.

She had done her makeup, put on perfume, and even made sure every step she took looked graceful.

Marcus responded by grabbing her arm and flipping her clean over his shoulder.

The young woman hit the ground so hard that her mind went blank. For several seconds, she was too stunned by the pain to even scream.

What a jerk! What kind of guy didn’t know how to go easy on a woman?
