Nicole kept going. "If her connections are that good, she can stay home and play rich girl. She clearly has no idea how to deal with customers, so why is she even working here?"

Nicole came at them so hard that even Lillian started to look embarrassed.

She apologized again and again, but nothing seemed to calm her down, and for once, Lillian didn't know what else to say.

Camila shook with anger. "Nicole, don't push me."

"This is me pushing you?" Nicole shot back. "Nothing I've said is worse than what you said a minute ago. If you think you're too good for this job, then quit. The base didn't hire you to insult customers."

Lillian had dealt with plenty of difficult customers before, and from the way these two were talking, it was obvious they had history.

Camila had definitely picked the wrong person to offend.

If Nicole filed a formal complaint, Lillian's own review and pay could take a hit.

Realizing Nicole wasn't going to let it go, Lillian stopped trying to protect Camila. Her expression hardened.

"Camila, apologize to the customer."

There was no way in hell Camila would apologize.

She refused to back down, but Nicole clearly intended to make an issue of it. By then, the argument had already drawn a crowd, and people were gathering near the entrance to watch.

Humiliated and furious, Camila suddenly burst into tears.

Nicole didn't care. "Now you're crying? You had plenty to say when you were insulting customers a minute ago."

Camila covered her face, pushed through the crowd, and ran off.

Lillian was speechless. All she could do was apologize again.

"I'm very sorry. We'll deal with her according to store policy."

"Good. Let me know what happens," Nicole said. "If you try to sweep this under the rug, I'll file a formal complaint."
