Nicole didn't even blink. "That's fine."
Her answer caught Amy off guard, and she quickly called Lillian over.
Lillian stayed professional. "We do sell submarines, but we'll need to verify your points card first."
She had seen plenty of people walk in bragging about buying a plane or submarine, only to spend half an hour talking before revealing they barely had any points at all.
So for anything priced in the seven figures or higher, the store checked the customer's balance first. It saved everyone time.
Nicole didn't mind and handed over her black card.
Silver cards were issued for seven-figure balances, gold for eight figures, and black for nine.
The moment Lillian saw the brand-new black card, her expression changed.
Lillian recovered quickly and became noticeably more attentive.
"Right this way."
She wasn't the only one surprised. The other clerks had worked at the trading hall for years, and none of them had ever seen a black card before.
"Did you see that? Someone actually has a black card now."
The clerks immediately started whispering among themselves, while Camila nearly felt faint.
A black card? How did Nicole have one?
Lillian swiped the card and checked the balance.
"A submarine is considered strategic equipment, so the purchase needs approval. Are you sure you want to go through with it?"
Of course. That was exactly why Nicole came.
"Please wait here for a moment."
Lillian went into the office and contacted the strategic operations department by radio.
Half an hour later, she came back out smiling. "Your purchase has been approved. When would you like to take delivery?"
"Anytime works for me, but I don't know how to operate one."
