The Apocalyptic Queen's Werewolf Journey (Thora and Darius) novel Chapter 14

**Shadows Hearts by Joseph King**
**Chapter 14: Practicing**

**Thora’s POV:**

“Thora, you’re asking for death!” Sophia’s voice rang out like a siren, filled with fury and disbelief. Despite her anger, she strained against my grip, but I held firm.

The rules of our school were as unyielding as stone: no wolf powers in fights. Anyone daring enough to defy that rule faced expulsion, a fate that loomed like a dark cloud over every student here. Sophia was furious, but she knew better than to unleash her wolf spirit in this setting. Even if she had, it wouldn’t have changed the outcome. My skills, honed in the chaos of the apocalypse, rendered me a formidable opponent against these inexperienced fighters.

“Let go of her, you bitch!” one of Sophia’s friends shrieked, her voice laced with desperation as she grasped a stool, ready to swing it at me like a weapon.

With a swift motion, I lifted my knee just enough to use Sophia’s own momentum to push her forward. The stool collided with her back with a sickening thud.

“Ah!” Sophia gasped, pain etched across her features.

The crowd around us fell into a stunned silence, their eyes wide with shock.

I surveyed the faces of my classmates, taking in their expressions of surprise mixed with a hint of fear. They hadn’t anticipated this weak mixed-blood girl, someone they considered beneath them, to stand her ground against a pureblood like Sophia.

“If we’re in the same class, I have no intention of hurting my classmates,” I stated slowly, letting my voice carry through the tension in the air. “But if this happens again…” I allowed a smirk to curl my lips, “next time, it won’t just be a kick.”

In this school, most students came from powerful families, their legacies looming large over their heads.

Astralis College had an unspoken rule: never involve family or pack politics in school disputes. Anyone who resorted to using their family’s influence to win would be met with disdain. Even if they managed to rise in status later, their connections would be severed, leaving them isolated.

Thus, how well you performed here relied solely on your own abilities and determination.

I was acutely aware that taking action against Sophia wouldn’t bring the wrath of the Greens or the Silverleaf Pack down upon me. This was my fight, and mine alone.

“You went too far, Thora!” Sophia spat, anger radiating off her as she struggled to regain her composure and rise once more. But a voice cut through the tension, halting her in her tracks.

“Sophia.”

She froze, and I turned my gaze toward the source of the voice. A boy in a black hoodie stood there—Harvey Vasil. He was known as the linchpin of Class F, a presence that commanded attention without even trying.
