Chapter 163 Someone’s Watching
The instant Dorian looked over, the young man happened to stop and look back in his direction.
Those eyes were sharp as a hawk’s, carrying a piercing insight that seemed to penetrate straight through the screen and lock onto Dorian.
A wave of chills rippled across Dorian’s body as his fingers gripping the armrest suddenly tightened.
Within seconds, the young man’s figure vanished completely from the screen.
“Him?” Dorian asked.
“Her. Besides her, do whatever you want with anyone else.” Jason spoke coldly, his gaze slowly shifting from the screen to Dorian.
Dorian’s expression revealed nothing. “The more you say that, the more curious I get. Who exactly is this person you care about so much?”
“You don’t need to know. Bottom line, if anything happens to her…
Jason’s lips curved slowly. “Something will happen to the Ciphers too. Though if you’re really that bored, feel free to play around with the people around her.”
Dorian’s cold eyes narrowed as he stared at Jason for a long moment, his handsome face maintaining its usual indifference. “Unless they threaten me first, I won’t make a move. But whoever crosses the lines I’ve s for this game will be punished.”
Jason’s eyes instantly turned colder.
“Sorry, but I don’t take well to threats, even from you.” Dorian said coolly.
Dorian’s methods were already legendary throughout the Chaules.
He was cold and ruthless, kept everyone at arm’s length, and would do anything to achieve his goals, yet somehow no one could find fault with him.
It was as if everything he did was perfectly justified. Even his most vicious tactics seemed completely natural coming from him.
“Is that so?” Jason let out a soft laugh, leaning back casually on the couch. “Mr. Cipher, you’ve certainly go backbone.”
Though his tone seemed ordinary enough, Dorian caught a hint of danger in it.
He stared at Jason.
This man was always like this. On the surface, he acted like a carefree trust fund kid, but beneath that lay depths impossible to fathom.
He’d never seen anyone switch between facades so seamlessly.
Dorian turned his head and looked away, ultimately backing down a step. “Since you’re asking, I’ll natur
show you some courtesy,”
Meanwhile, elsewhere.
“Boss, what’s wrong?” Tristan looked at Thora with confusion.
Thora slowly opened her eyes, retracting her extended mental energy.
“Someone’s watching us,” Thora said in a low voice.
Harvey immediately scanned the surroundings alertly, especially checking corners where cameras might be hidden. “All the surveillance is shut down.”
“Luke also said earlier that the surveillance system was locked down and he couldn’t hack in.” Tristan added. quietly.
“No, it’s not cameras.” Thora looked toward the direction she’d glanced at earlier, her gaze sharp.
The person who had been watching them was an ability user.
Only after she’d activated her own ability to actively resist did that uncomfortable feeling of being watched gradually fade.
As she’d suspected, this casino was hiding quite a few ability users.
