The Apocalyptic Queen's Werewolf Journey (Thora and Darius) novel Chapter 288

Chapter 288 Second Round

Right away, a sharp handprint showed up on Mona’s cheek.

Her bodyguards immediately drew their pistols.

But before they could aim, pain ripped through their wrists. One by one, the pistols hit the ground.

Tristan stood nearby, casually flipping a few pebbles in the air, watching with a lazy grin.

No guessing needed-he did it.

Shirley shook out her hand and grinned. “Ma’am, your face is way bigger than my hand. Sorry about that. I just wanted to see which was bigger-your face or my hand.”

She pouted dramatically. “I didn’t even hit you.”

The words were pure mockery, calling Mona big-faced and thick-skinned.

If anyone else said it, it would’ve sounded fake and sneaky. But with Shirley’s cute, innocent face, people somehow felt it was fine.

“How dare you hit me?!” Mona shrieked, staring at Shirley in fury.

Shirley’s smile disappeared. Her sweet face turned cold, like a creepy doll, making people uneasy.

“You’re so bold to even think about messing with Thora,” she said flatly, then turned and walked away.

“You bitch!” Mona snapped. Wolf power burst from her as she raised her hand to strike Shirley.

Thora’s eyes darkened. With a quick flick of her wrist, a silver pistol slid into her palm.

Whoosh-

“Ah!”

Something suddenly pierced Mona’s wrist. Pain shot through her arm, and she couldn’t move it anymore.

“Ms. Campbell!” Her bodyguards panicked and drew their pistols.

But just like before, the moment they did, the weapons were knocked from their hands.

Mona stared at Thora, hysteria filling her eyes. “What did you do to me?!”

Thora lowered her pistol and shot Shirley a cool glance.

Shirley made a face at Mona, then dashed back to Thora.

“A tranquilizer dart. You’ll be fine in about two hours.” Thora’s voice was flat, but it completely shut down. any chance of Mona fighting back.

Mona glared at them, her eyes burning with rage.

Once her people realized it was only a tranquilizer and not deadly, they stopped getting ready to attack.

The other side clearly didn’t want trouble either. If a fight broke out now, it would only benefit everyone else watching.

Mona might be spoiled, but she wasn’t dumb. Still, she definitely wasn’t going to forget that.

The surrounding candidates had just watched a great show. When it ended without a real fight, they looked a bit disappointed.

They had been hoping for chaos-maybe even a fun brawl.

And if possible, a chance to wear both sides down.

Thora. Shirley smiled sweetly as she rejoined Thora.

When she noticed Ashley, she pouted, then instantly put on a bright smile. “Pretty lady, could you maybe not stand so close to Thora? You’re beautiful, but you should also keep things proper.”

Ashley was speechless. Shirley really knew how to get on people’s nerves.
