Chapter 308 One, Two, Three
Thora crossed the distance in a few strides and stopped in front of Sierra.
Sierra had completely lost the ability to fight back-yet she still refused to accept it.
She didn’t want to lose like this.
Just like she didn’t want to accept her fate.
She wanted a different life. A chance to start over.
If she gave up so easily, then she and Frost would have no future at all.
Finished
Gritting her teeth, Sierra forced herself up from the ground, clutching her dagger and trying to attack again.
But the moment she lifted her arm, Thora struck first-one clean kick sent her crashing back down. Sierra rolled twice across the ground before barely managing to stop.
“Sierra!”
Frost couldn’t bear it anymore. He roared hoarsely, “Damn it! Ashwolf Boss, if you’re going to kill someone, kill me! This has nothing to do with Sierra! She only wanted to apply to the military academy-she never meant to provoke you! I’m the one who did!”
He struggled desperately to drag himself toward her, but his body wouldn’t move an inch.
All he could do was watch helplessly as Sierra was hurt again and again, terror filling his usually cold eyes.
Sierra, on the other hand, was strangely calm. Her gaze was steady-uncannily similar to Thora’s.
Ryan and Tristan both wanted to step in. After all, the exam rules clearly stated no killing.
But remembering that it was their boss making the call, Tristan decided it didn’t really matter.
Everyone assumed Thora was about to finish it. Frost felt completely hopeless.
But when Thora reached out, there was no killing intent. Instead, she grabbed Sierra’s arm, twisted sharply, and yanked.
Crack. The fractured, misaligned bone snapped cleanly back into place.
Sierra froze, staring at Thora in disbelief.
Thora had already straightened up, looking down at her from above. Her voice was cold and even. “You can leave now.” After a brief pause, she added, “Take him with you.”
There was no mercy in her tone-and no emotion either-leaving Sierra utterly unable to read her
intentions.
With her broken arm reset, Sierra barely managed to push herself to her feet, staring at Thora with deep
confusion written all over her face.

Finished
Thora didn’t spare Sierra another glance. She finally shifted her attention to her own injury, pulled out a strip of cloth, and wrapped it around her arm as she spoke casually, “Starting now, I’ll count to one hundred. When I’m done, Shirley will open fire.”
Sierra and Frost exchanged a look. They didn’t fully understand-but they got the message. She was giving them one hundred counts to run. If they made it out of Shirley’s sniper range, they lived. If they didn’t, they’d be nothing more than moving targets.
“One, two, three…” Thora counted steadily as she bandaged her arm, completely unhurried.
Sierra didn’t hesitate anymore. She dragged her battered body forward and hauled Frost up.
Supporting each other, the two of them staggered toward the forest, breaking into a desperate run.
“Twenty-one, twenty-two…” The calm, emotionless counting behind them sounded like a ticking death clock, crushing their lungs, forcing them to push harder.
“Eighty, eighty-one…” Their figures vanished deeper and deeper into the trees.
Shirley narrowed her eyes, lifted a hand to shade her brow, and calculated the distance while tracking their escape route.
Thora stopped counting at ninety-nine, the corner of her mouth lifting slightly as she turned and walked back toward Tristan and the others.
Finally able to avenge the eliminated Dominic, Shirley grinned and slung her sniper rifle onto her shoulder. Activating her Hawk Eye ability, she lined up Sierra and Frost in her scope.
Thora didn’t even need to turn around to know what she was doing. “Don’t shoot,” she said coldly.
Shirley’s hand nearly jerked. She immediately lowered the rifle, pouting a little in protest. “…Okay.”
“Boss, why just let them go like that?” Tristan asked as he handed over the medicine.
Thora took the medicine and treated her wound, her tone flat. “Did you forget one of the exam rules?”
Ryan and Tristan exchanged a glance, then answered together, “No killing.”
Thora nodded, her gaze sweeping briefly toward the direction where she’d earlier sensed the presence of a firearm. The barrel there was already gone.
In truth, from the very start of her fight with Sierra, she’d noticed several concealed presences nearby.
