The Apocalyptic Queen's Werewolf Journey (Thora and Darius) novel Chapter 487

Sierra appeared behind Thora without making a sound.

Thora turned around. "You're eight hours past the check-in time I set last night. So your service period just got eight hours tacked on."

Sierra nodded without a word.

Seeing that Sierra accepted, Thora didn't waste any more breath and turned to keep walking.

Sierra followed in silence. Questions swirled in her mind—why had Thora chosen this particular arrangement as her condition? But she never voiced them. She knew all she had to do was hold up her end of the deal.

She'd already gotten Frost settled. She'd found a reliable healer in the Golden Triad to treat him. He'd lost one hand, but at least he was alive.

The path Thora took grew increasingly remote until they reached a campsite out in the wilderness. Thora walked straight in without breaking stride.

The moment her foot crossed the perimeter, tranquilizer darts came flying from both sides.

Thora and Sierra reacted in a flash, dodging instantly. The darts didn't even graze the edge of their clothes.

But the split second they dodged, a network of traps triggered beneath their feet.

Sierra's heart lurched as she narrowly avoided them. Thora was even faster, having already sidestepped every single one with effortless composure.

Sierra was puzzled. What was Thora doing here? This was clearly someone's camp, and judging by the setup, these were no ordinary people.

Was Thora here to take on this whole group solo? That seemed a little extreme, even for her.

They'd barely made it through the perimeter when several men burst out of the undergrowth—all in full camouflage with war paint smeared across their faces, rifles trained directly at them.

Sierra's wolf power flared across her body. Her twin daggers appeared in her palms as she dropped into a combat-ready stance.

Thora, however, looked completely unbothered. She simply gave the armed men a passing glance.

"Really? Pointing guns at me again? You guys are getting addicted to that, aren't you?"

The comment caught Sierra completely off guard. What did Thora mean by that?

Before she could figure it out, the men—who just a second ago had looked stone-cold and ready to kill—suddenly loosened up like puppets cut from their strings. Smiles broke across every face, and even through the layers of face paint, the joy was impossible to contain.

"Boss! Finally!" The tallest of the group stepped forward and pulled Thora into a bear hug. It was Harvey.

The sight of her smiling made everyone visibly relax.

Once the reunion antics died down, their attention drifted to Sierra. The looks they gave her were enough to make her skin prickle.

Dominic's face went cold. "Boss, isn't she..."

They'd recognized Sierra right away. They'd just been too focused on Thora to bother with her. Besides, she'd arrived at the boss's side, which meant she had some kind of pass.

Back during the first round of entrance exams, it was Sierra and Frost who had knocked Dominic out of the running. So the moment he laid eyes on her, old grudges came flooding back. If she hadn't been with the boss, he would have already made a move.

The others felt exactly the same way.

Sierra sensed their hostility, but she only gave them a cool, indifferent glance. She didn't release even a hint of threatening energy.

"Sierra." Thora said the name in a flat, matter-of-fact tone—a simple introduction and nothing more.

The Ashwolf members exchanged glances, none of them understanding what the boss was getting at.

Thora was already walking toward their camp, her voice carrying the weight of an order rather than a suggestion. "Starting now, she's with you."
