The Apocalyptic Queen's Werewolf Journey (Thora and Darius) novel Chapter 491

"End this fast. Kill them and retreat!"

Almost at the same moment, Thora gave her order as well.

"Okay!"

The squad's firepower instantly turned fierce, launching a violent assault toward the enemy.

"Whoosh—"

Another bullet shot in, opening into a giant net in midair and rushing straight at Thora!

Thora dodged with quick agility, but right after that, another giant net followed close behind!

"Ah!"

A sudden cry came from closeby.

"Mona!" Everyone looked over in worry.

It turned out Mona had been distracted watching Thora and slipped for a moment, only to be tightly wrapped by the giant net.

She immediately shifted, forming wolf claws to try to tear the net apart. But the net was made of a special material and could not be ripped open. She switched to her combat knife and tried again, still useless.

"Shirley!" Thora called out in a low, sharp voice.

"Got it!" Shirley's tone was cold. Without needing more words, she quickly switched to a sniper rifle, found cover, and began sniping toward the distant source of the bullets.

Anne reacted fast and dodged to the side, but her arm was still grazed by a bullet.

The wound instantly turned black and scorched, with heat rising from it.

She sucked in a breath and cursed under her breath, "Damn it!"

With Shirley continuing sniper cover, Thora rushed forward to check on Mona. But no normal method could break open the giant net. Worse still, another squad member had also been trapped.

If they kept fighting against this strange weapon, they would fall into a dead end sooner or later.

Thora's gaze turned icy as she focused all her attention. A blue ripple of power slowly flowed out from her body.

The next second, the nets binding the others burst apart with a loud crack. The trapped teammates immediately broke free.

Thora pulled Mona to her feet with one hand and decisively ordered, "Retreat!"

As soon as the order was given, no one stayed behind to keep fighting—they had already taken out more than half the enemy.

Shirley put away her sniper rifle, pulled a grenade from her coat, bit off the pin, and hurled it hard toward the distant fire point.

Boom!

The violent explosion made the ground tremble slightly. Using the blast as cover, Thora's squad quickly slipped into the depths of the street and vanished without a trace.

Only bodies and the wreckage of gunfire were left behind on the road.

When Anne and the others, who had avoided the grenade, recovered their senses, Thora's squad was already gone.

So how had Thora and the others broken the whale net so easily?

Was this the true strength of Blue Star Military Academy?

Luckily, the terrain had favored them at the time, allowing them to avoid being captured by the nets.

And Tristan had remembered Thora's warning not to fight head-on. The moment he sensed something wrong, he struck once and immediately withdrew with his men, barely reducing the casualties.

Still, many were heavily injured, and their combat strength would be greatly weakened for a while.

"I understand," Thora said in a low voice. "Let the wounded rest where they are. Leave one person to care for them. Everyone else move out immediately and regroup in the Golden Triad."

"Understood!" Tristan's side acted at once on the order.

Thora turned and looked at the three injured members of her squad, her eyes growing colder.

Besides the counterfeit syndicate's armed force, there was clearly outside support—those people using the bullet-net weapons.

If she hadn't forced the nets open with her ability, once trapped, there was no chance to escape.

And those people gave her a strangely familiar feeling...

Even more obvious was that their main target, from beginning to end, had been her.

Thora looked toward Luke, who was rapidly typing on a keyboard, and asked coldly, "Did you find it?"

On Luke's computer screen, the material analysis and structural diagram of the giant net were already displayed.

"Got it!"
