“Worlds protected by gods were places the Space Alliance never touched. Humans were best at fighting among ourselves. Right now, many of the Alliance’s gods were already busy holding back other evil gods.

“Diplomacy like this was something they avoided whenever possible. The alliance only rescued fallen worlds. They did not interfere with powerful, stable worlds like that one. Otherwise, conflicts would never end. Why don’t you just handle him yourself?”

When Joanna received the message; she was genuinely surprised.

She projected the image and turned to Nighthowl.

“Is he related to you?” she asked. “He recognizes you.”

Nighthowl froze. He studied the image carefully, then frowned in thought.

“Maybe a descendant of my younger brother’s bloodline?” he said. “Why?”

Joanna smiled.

“He’s accusing me of kidnapping you across worlds. Looks like he wants to take you back.”

Nighthowl’s brow tightened at once.

“I’m not going back.”

Joanna laughed.

“Good. Even if you wanted to go back, I wouldn’t let you. Do you really want to leave me?”

“Of course not!” Nighthowl said firmly. He leaned closer, resting his head on her shoulder.

“I would never leave you.”

“Don’t worry,” Joanna said gently, patting his head. “I’ll take care of it.”

After a moment of thought, she used Astral Step and returned to Violetlight City on Chromatic Star.

Inside the conference room, Arlington was already waiting, pacing with clear anxiety.

The door opened, and Joanna walked in.

Arlington inhaled sharply.

He had never seen a Guide this powerful. Her spiritual presence was vast, like endless clouds filling the sky. Her aura seemed to press into his senses. There was not a single flaw about her.

A Guide like this–if she appeared in interstellar space—she could ruin countless sentinels with just one glance. They would empty their fortunes just to sign a contract with her.
