Chapter 30
Lon the streets were on
The black Rolls–Royce Ghost navigated the crowded traffic
Since I had got into the car, I had closed my eyes, leaning against the seat in silence, refusing to communicur
I didn’t realize we weren’t heading towards the Pack’s infirmary, but to Mooncrest Manor
‘Stay away from Jace from now on, Lucian said coldly.
i heard the warning. I didn’t want to respond, but I was afraid he’d hurt Jace.
As the Alpha of the Ironfang Pack, ruining Jace would be as easy as crushing an ant for Lucian.
I had to open my eyes and look at him, explaining seriously, “Jace and I are just friends.”
Lucian sneered, “Friends? What kind of friends would cuddle?”
I tried to contain myself, but failed.
“You have no right to talk to me like that! And I don’t need to explain anything to you. Our bond is severed. I’d like to remind you of that if you forget that. Even if Jace claim me to be his mate, it would be none of your business.”
The car fell silent.
“What did you say?” Lucian abruptly turned the wheel and pulled over.
Unbuckling his seatbelt, he leaned towards me, pressing me against the car door, his eyes dangerous.
His closeness stole my breath.
As he leaned in to kiss me, I instinctively pulled back, tilting my head.
Ignoring him, I took a deep breath and said coldly, firmly, ‘Do you still want me to apologize to her? If not, I’m getting out.”
I unbuckled my seatbelt and started to leave.
Instantly, Lucian held my hand, slamming the door shut, staring coldly. “Since you want to apologize so badly, do it properly.”
He sat back, fastening his seatbelt. He made a U–turn, heading towards the Pack’s infirmary.
At the Pack’s infirmary.
I followed Lucian to a ward. As we reached the door, it opened from the inside. A healer came out.
I recognized him: a leading expert in the infirmary. I stood behind Lucian, my eyes icy.
Aurora was Lucian’s daughter. When she was seriously ill, she was in a regular protective ward.
