Chapter 435
3rd Person’s POV
Morning sunlight spilled across the penthouse dining room, pale gold against the long oak table where breakfast had already been served.
Tiara sat cross-legged in her chair, lazily stirring honey into her tea while recounting the latest scandal with visible satisfaction gleaming in her eyes.
“It happened close to dawn,” she said. “The streets were nearly empty, so Rowan probably thought no one would see him. Unfortunately for him, a wolf happened to pass by at exactly the wrong moment.” Tiara snorted softly. “And once someone saw it? That was it. By sunrise, the entire Lunaris knew the Alpha of Blackfang struck his Luna in the middle of the street.”
Across from her, Lylah slowly lowered her teacup.
A faint unease settled inside her chest.
“She’s pregnant…” she murmured quietly.
No matter what Cora had done, the thought still left an unpleasant heaviness beneath her ribs.
Tiara immediately rolled her eyes.
‘Fake, Lylah. Fake,” she said bluntly. “Stop wasting sympathy on her.” Her tone sharpened. “Cora isn’t innocent. Everything happening to her now was planted by her own hands years ago. This is karma for everything she did to you.”
Her wolf stirred beneath her skin, bristling with old resentment.
“And Rowan?” Tiara scoffed. “He’s always been trash. The only difference now is that fate finally ripped away the pretty mask covering it.”
Ezra sat quietly beside Lylah, one arm resting possessively along the back of her chair. His expression remained calm.
But his wolf was satisfied.
After receiving Ezra’s letter, Ivar wasted no time clarifying the truth surrounding Cora’s fabricated connections. Once the old commander spoke, the entire hierarchy of Verdanth listened.
Tiara leaned back in her chair. “Even if Rowan hadn’t snapped last night, he would’ve done it eventually. Cora knows exactly what kind of male he is. She chose him anyway.”
