Chapter 320
Third Person POV
Six months after Ethan's return, the Laurent family gathered once again.
The venue was spectacular: the Laurent estate's sprawling gardens, transformed into an elegant outdoor ceremony space with thousands of white flowers, silk draping, and enough champagne to float a small boat.
But unlike most weddings, this wasn't just one ceremony.
It was two.
Julian stood at one altar, his hand clasped tightly in Tony's, both of them dressed in impeccably tailored suits that complemented each other perfectly.
Tony's family sat on one side, beaming with pride and joy.
And on the other side….
Victoria Laurent sat in the front row, tears streaming down her face, dabbing at her eyes with an embroidered handkerchief.
Not tears of sadness or disappointment.
But tears of genuine happiness.
It had taken her months to truly accept Julian's relationship.
Months of difficult conversations, of confronting her own prejudices and outdated beliefs, of watching her son be genuinely happy in a way he'd never been before.
But she'd gotten there.
And now, as Julian and Tony exchanged their vows—promising to love and cherish each other through whatever came next—Victoria smiled through her tears.
Nathaniel sat beside her, his own expression emotional.
He'd come around too, after that explosive fight with Cynthia and several long, honest conversations with Julian.
"If it makes you happy," he'd finally said to his brother, "then I support you. Completely."
The officiant pronounced Julian and Tony married, and they kissed to thunderous applause from the gathered guests.
Kevin whistled loudly from his seat, grinning ear to ear.
Amber and Lily threw flower petals.
But the ceremony wasn't over.
Because as Julian and Tony walked back down the aisle, hand in hand, another couple took their place at the second altar.
Ethan and Cynthia.
They'd been married for years already — had weathered more storms than most couples faced in a lifetime.
But they wanted this.
Wanted to renew their vows publicly.
To promise each other, in front of everyone they loved, that they were choosing each other again.
Cynthia wore a simple ivory dress that hugged her curves, her hair falling in loose waves over her shoulders.
Ethan wore a dark suit, looking healthier and stronger than he had in the chaotic days right after his return.
Amber stood between them, holding both their hands, his role as ring bearer upgraded to full participant in this renewal of his parents' commitment.
The officiant smiled warmly at them.
"Ethan and Cynthia have asked to renew their vows today," she said. "Not because the old ones weren't valid, but because they've learned what those vows truly mean. Through separation and reunion, through darkness and light, through every challenge that tried to break them—they've chosen each other."
Ethan went first, his voice steady but thick with emotion.
"Cynthia," he said, looking into her eyes. "When I lost my memory, when I couldn't remember your face or anything about our life together — I still felt you. Like a part of me was missing. And when I found you again, it felt like coming home."
