Inside the residence, Henrik sat by the bar while watching his son through the window. He peeked carefully, seeing that Chacha and Second were already with him. Even Penny’s children and Haines’s daughter were with him.

"Is he fine?" He wondered to himself, a little worried about his son.

"Just let him be," Kiara, who had been watching him, said when she couldn’t take it anymore. "What is wrong with you?"

"I should be the one asking," Henrik glared at her and then at Hugo, who was beside her. "What is wrong with both of you?"

Her lips curved down while Hugo genuinely looked confused.

"About what?" Hugo asked. "My wife and I are perfectly fine."

His question made both Kiara and Henrik look at him in disdain. The latter joined them at the bar, shifting his attention to Kiara.

"Are you sure he’s Atlas’s brother?" he asked. "I’m starting to question that."

Kiara weighed whether she should be offended, but in the end, it only made her chuckle. When Henrik joined her laughter, Hugo darted his attention between them as he stood in the middle.

"What now?" he asked.

"Nothing." Kiara bumped her shoulder lightly against him. "Don’t think too much about it."

"How could I not?" Hugo frowned. "It feels like I missed something—tsk."

As he chugged his drink, Kiara shifted her eyes to Henrik. "Are you sure about your decision?"

"Hmm?" Henrik raised his brows as he turned to her, then rocked his head. "That’s what my son wants."

He paused, nodding to himself as he thought about it. "So I’m giving him what he wants."

Even though that wasn’t what Henrik wanted.

After Iris’s funeral, things had been busy in the Bellemonte Territory. Henrik cleaned up his court and restructured it, solely for the purpose of making it safe for his son. Since he had Efraim from his previous lover, things had always been difficult and tricky in his court.

Meaning Henrik couldn’t provide a proper childhood for his son—not when his own wife always eyed the boy and repeatedly attempted to erase him from this world. With the help of the council, Henrik was finally able to start with a clean slate and maintain his power over his territory.

"If not for the twins, I don’t think I’d even see my boy smiling like that," he admitted. "So since he didn’t want lavish parties or anything like that, I’ll just give him what he wants."

Spoiling Efraim was what Henrik wanted, but at the same time, that wasn’t what his son wanted.

What Efraim wanted was to attend the same school as the twins. And according to Atlas, the twins would be living outside the Order’s territory.

There was no point in staying cooped up in their territories when Marceline had already bought a rest house in Anteca and Draken a beach house for his fishing trips with Charles and the men.

"You should stay around," Hugo suggested, while Kiara nodded. "All the other leaders are taking long vacations, and since you guys aren’t fighting much, you don’t need council meetings."

Henrik raised his brows as he darted his eyes between the couple.

Kiara chuckled. "I guess my husband isn’t the only idiot here."

"What did you say?"

"Your son wants to attend the same school as the twins, but that doesn’t mean he’d mind having his father around," Kiara stressed. "Goodness. If you really want to repair your relationship with him, stop feeling guilty about the years you spent protecting him and start being a parent."

Henrik’s lips parted, only for him to press them together again. He looked at Kiara and Hugo, who had gotten so close to Efraim that it almost made Henrik envious. After all, this couple looked more like parents to his son than Henrik himself.

"Sir Hugo, Miss Kiara, Sir Henrik."

The trio raised their brows and turned to see Butler Jen. The latter offered them a polite, warm smile.

"It’s about time for the reveal," he announced. "Please gather in the garden."

Meanwhile, Atlas, Lola, and the twins stood on the mini stage with a huge cake beside them. Lola’s bump was visible even through her dress, and she wore a matching outfit with Chacha. As for Second, he wore the same suit as his father.
