The Billionaire's Heir I Never Knew Was Mine novel Chapter 129

Chapter 129: She Is Not In Danger Now

Zachary’s gaze was fixed on the door in front of him.

He stood there for several minutes, yet nobody came out.

Nurses occasionally passed by with files or medical supplies in their hands, speaking quietly to one another, but Zachary barely noticed them. His entire attention remained on that single door. He had to hold himself back several times from pushing it open.

His fingers would twitch slightly at his side whenever he imagined Sienna lying unconscious inside. But every time he was about to barge into the emergency room, he stopped himself.

He knew very well how hospitals worked. Doctors hated it when impatient family members barged in during examination or treatment.

The last thing he wanted was to distract the medical staff while they thoroughly checked her condition.

Still, his patience was becoming thinner by the second. Another minute passed. Then another.

Zachary’s jaw tightened.

He was just about to open it anyway when the door suddenly swung open from the inside.

Scott stepped out, his expression carrying a mixture of surprise and curiosity.

"How is she?" Zachary asked immediately before Scott could even breathe properly.

His voice was low and sharp. At the same time, he tried to look past Scott to see into the emergency room, but the doctor behind the door blocked most of his view.

Instead of answering immediately, Scott casually placed a hand on Zachary’s shoulder and turned him toward the corridor.

"Man, let’s go to the VIP ward room first," Scott said calmly.

Then he rubbed his tired eyes and sighed dramatically. "I’ve been awake all night. I need my morning coffee to function like a normal human being."

Zachary frowned deeply. He clearly disliked that answer.

Still, he followed Scott away from the emergency area. His expression remained cold enough to freeze the air around them.

"Scott, tell me now, or I will be angry with you."

His voice turned icy as he brushed Scott’s hand off his shoulder.

Scott stopped walking midstep.

Even after years of friendship, Zachary’s glare could still feel threatening when he was serious. Scott slowly turned around and faced him properly.

Unlike Zachary’s tense expression, Scott gave him a reassuring smile.

"You have nothing to worry about," he said calmly. "She’s all right. She simply needs proper rest, and she’ll be as healthy as an athlete. Anyway, they’ll move her to the VIP ward soon, so let’s wait there first."

Zachary stared at him for another second, almost as if trying to decide whether Scott was hiding something.

Then finally, he spoke. "Alright. Let’s go."

Without waiting for another word or looking at Scott, Zachary promptly walked ahead and quickly two-stepped in front of him.

Scott stared at his friend’s back and shook his head helplessly. "Seriously..." he muttered quietly. "This man looks scarier than my parents."

A few minutes later, they arrived at the VIP ward on the top floor.

The place looked less like a hospital room and more like a luxury presidential suite inside a five-star hotel.

A large living room stood in the center with an expensive cream-colored sofa set arranged neatly around a glass table.

On the other side was a modern kitchen with dark marble counters and a dining table beside it. Warm lights glowed softly across the spacious room, making the atmosphere feel calm and comfortable instead of clinical.

Two separate bedroom doors stood near the far wall.

Zachary entered without interest in any of the luxury surrounding him.
