Sienna’s breath caught immediately. The meaning behind those words was impossible to misunderstand.

Heat rushed to her face. She quickly looked away, silently scolding herself when several sultry thoughts decided to appear at the same time.

Sienna put those thoughts aside and hurriedly responded, "Hmm," she mumbled. "I’ll walk you to the elevator."

He immediately shook his head. "No, no. You stay here. You need proper rest tonight to get you fresh and get your strength back."

His eyes softened as he continued, "And you’re going to need it because when you meet Sky tomorrow, he will cling to you all the time, and exhaust you. That’s how much he misses you."

Sienna narrowed her eyes.

"Oh. Come on..." A playful smile appeared on her lips. "I’m not that weak, Mr. Sterling. Sky can cling to me all the time he wants, and I get a feeling that I would love every second of it and won’t get exhausted."

Something dangerous flashed in Zachary’s eyes.

"Well, my future wife, we can test that theory later," he teased, affectionately.

The warmth that had already touched her cheeks quickly spread through her entire body as she heard his sweet, flirting words.

Sienna completely lost the ability to form a proper response. She wasn’t even sure if she wanted to respond.

Luckily, Zachary seemed amused enough already. He didn’t continue teasing her. Instead, he walked toward the front door.

Just as he reached the door, he suddenly stopped and turned around.

Caught off guard, Sienna nearly bumped straight into him. She lifted her head and looked into his eyes.

"Did you forget something?" She asked.

"No. I just wanted to see your pretty face before I left..." he said, lifting her chin and leaning in to steal a quick kiss on her lips.

"Zach, call me when you arrive home."

A smile touched his lips. "Hm. I will. Good night, Sienna."

"Good night, Zach..." she said as she observed him heading to the elevator.

Jacob Adams sat in the living room with a growing headache. Across from him sat his younger siblings, Jenny and Jimmy.

The old house felt smaller than usual today. The faded walls, aging furniture, and worn floorboards only reminded him how little value sentiment held when compared to real problems.

People liked talking about memories, but Jacob preferred solutions. And right now, he needed one.

Boss Juan had been pressuring him nonstop. The deal they had made had completely fallen apart, and the main reason was Sienna, his only child. If she hadn’t disappeared, none of this would have happened.
