The Billionaire's Insignificant Wife novel Chapter 178

The door opened slowly.

A large–bodied man with a flat face stood before him.

“Mr. Walsh?” he asked in a flat voice.

Steven nodded.

“Please come in.”

Steven stepped into the warehouse with increasingly hesitant steps.

Inside, the room was very large and very empty.

There was only one table in the middle of the room.

And a man sat behind it with his face hidden in shadow.

“Thank you for coming, Mr. Walsh,” the man said in a voice that was smooth but frightening.

Steven looked at that man more carefully.

Steven didn’t move.

The large man pushed him roughly into the chair in front of the desk.

Steven fell into the seat with gasping breath.

“What do you want?” Steven asked in a strangled voice.

Viktor smiled thinly. “Your life.”

“Why?” he asked again in a trembling voice. “Why are you doing this to me?”

Viktor leaned back in his chair casually.

“Because you dared to disturb someone important,” he answered simply.

Steven felt his mind working quickly.

Someone important.

The article he had just written.

Alina Blackwood.

“Daniel Blackwood,” Steven whispered with a pale face. “This is Daniel Blackwood’s doing.”

Viktor didn’t answer.

But his smile widened slightly–enough to confirm Steven’s suspicion.

“Please,” Steven said in a voice beginning to break. “I can retract that article. I can write a clarification. I can say everything was a lie. I’ll do anything-”

“I have a family!Steven cried out desperately. “I have a wife and children-
