Less than half a mile ahead was a massive intersection. Nathan couldn't risk the car plowing into cross-traffic, but with no brakes, his only option was to constantly monitor the cars swerving behind him.

Seeing the lane clear, Nathan wrenched the steering wheel hard. The car practically launched itself off the asphalt, violently plowing straight into the grassy median.

With the vegetation in the green belt acting as a buffer, the collision was still severe, but thankfully, Nathan only sustained minor injuries in the driver's seat.
