Chapter 272
Olivia
I curled up on the plush sofa in our suite, a book open in my lap. Something light and mindless, perfect for vacation reading. The ocean stretched endlessly beyond the floor–to–ceiling windows, waves catching the afternoon sun.
The door clicked open.
Alexander stepped inside, loosening his tie with one hand while holding his phone in the other. He looked. satisfied.
“How’d the meeting go?” I asked, setting my book aside.
He tossed his phone onto the counter and shrugged out of his suit jacket. “Won the bid.”
“Yeah?” I sat up straighter. “That’s great. Congratulations.”
“Thanks” He poured himself a glass of water from the minibar, downing half of it in one long swallow. Though I paid way too much for it.”
I blinked. “You overpaid? You?”
“One hundred and eighty million.” He said it casually, like he was discussing the weather. “For a company worth maybe seventy at best.
“Jesus Christ, Alex.” I stared at him. “Are you insane? That’s more than double what it’s worth.”
“Triple, actually.” He finished the water, setting the glass down with a soft clink. “Victoria tapped out around one–twenty. James pushed me to one–seventy–five before backing off.”
“And you went higher anyway.” I stood up, crossing my arms. “Why the hell would you do that?”
His eyes met mine, dark and calculating. “Information.”
“Information?”
“The company handles offshore transactions. Corporate structuring. Tax optimization.” He moved closer, his voice dropping lower. “Fifteen years of client records. Every shell company, every hidden account, every transaction designed to avoid scrutiny.
Understanding dawned slowly. “You bought leverage.” _
“Exactly.” His hand found my waist, pulling me against him. Those records contain information worth far more than one hundred and eighty million. If I can use it properly.”
I processed this, my mind working through the implications. “What kind of information?”
“The kind that could destroy careers. End marriages. Send people to prison.” His thumb traced circles on my hip. “The kind Victoria and James would pay anything to keep buried.”
“So you’re planning to blackmail people?*
I’m planning to protect my interests.” He kissed my forehead. “There’s a difference. Those offshore records will give me exactly what I need.”
I leaned back slightly, studying his face. “If it helps you take own Victoria, then maybe it’s not a complete waste of money.*

Heat flooded through me. “Shut up

I grabbed his tie, pulling him down for a kiss that was more teeth than tenderness. His hands tightened on my waist, one sliding lower to cup my ass through my dress,
When we broke apart, both breathing harder, I asked, “So what now? You wait for the records and then what?
“Now?” His eyes darkened. “Now I take you to that private beach I mentioned yesterday,
“The super secluded one?”
“The one where no one will interrupt us? His hand slid up my thigh under my dress. “Where I can fuck you on the sand without worrying about tourists.”
My breath caught. “That’s your plan?”
“Part of it” His fingers found the edge of my panties. “The other part involves that plunge pool on our balcony. And the shower. And the bed. And every other available surface in this suite.
“Ambitious.”
“I have stamina. His thumb brushed against me through the thin fabric, making me gasp. “You’ll see.”
I pushed at his chest, creating space between us before I lost all sense of reason. “Beach first. Sex later.”
“Why not beach sex now?”
“Because I want to actually see this magical private beach before you fuck me into unconsciousness.”
He laughed, reluctantly releasing me. “Fine. But I’m holding you to the later part.”
“Deal.”
He pulled me closer, “Get your stuff. We’re leaving now?
Thirty minutes later, Alexander navigated a Range Rover down a narrow coastal road, palm trees creating a canopy overhead. The ocean appeared in flashes between the foliage, impossibly blue.

Chapter 272
“Where exactly are we going?” I asked, watching the scenery pass.
“Private beach. Place I know.”
“How private?”
“Nobody around for miles. The property owner rented it out to me for the next two days.”
I glanced at him. “You rented an entire beach?”
“Technically, I rented the mansion that comes with the beach.” He turned onto an even narrower road, this one barely pared “Beach access is included.”
The road wound through dense vegetation before opening suddenly onto a clearing. A sprawling white mansion sat perched on a cliff overlooking the ocean, all clean lines and floor–to–ceiling windows that reflected the afternoon sun.
“Holy shit,” I breathed.
Alexander parked in the circular driveway. “Wait till you see inside.”
The front door was unlocked. We stepped into a massive open–plan living space with polished concrete floors and minimal furniture. Everything was designed to showcase the view, the ocean visible through every window.
“Kitchen’s through here.” Alexander led me past leather sofas and abstract art. “Fully stocked. I had them prep it before we arrived,”
The kitchen was a chef’s paradise, with industrial appliances, marble counters, and a wine fridge.
I opened the fridge and found it packed with fresh ingrédients: steaks, vegetables, cheeses, and enough food for a week.
“Bedrooms upstairs.” Alexander grabbed our bags. “Come on.”
I followed him up a floating staircase to the second floor. The master bedroom took up the entire back of the house, dominated by a massive bed and more windows overlooking the ocean.
“Bathroom’s through there.” He nodded toward a door. “Private deck off the bedroom with its own infinity pool”
I walked out onto the deck, the ocean stretching endlessly before me. The pool seemed to merge with the horizon, creating an optical illusion that took my breath away.
“It’s incredible,” I breathed, turning to face Alexander.
He leaned against the doorframe, arms crossed, watching me with obvious satisfaction. “Worth the price?”
“You know it is.”
“Get changed. We’re hitting the beach before it gets too late.”
