Chapter 102: Making Love to Her.
Ethan
The night goes by faster than I would like. After the garden we return to the interior of the house. The atmosphere is calm, almost silent. There’s something different in the air… something that wasn’t here before.
Clara takes her coat from the back of the chair, then her purse. I watch her as she puts it on.
And I know what’s coming… The time to leave.
“Can I order a taxi?” she says softly.
I look up immediately.
“Taxi?”
“Okay… You don’t have to take me home.”
She is ahead of herself.
I shake my head before she is done.
“No, no… I want to take you.”
She smiles slightly, but denies again.
“No, that’s fine. I can do it.”
She pauses slightly.
“I won’t be calm if you go alone. What’s more… Let one of the drivers do it.”
I watch her for a second.
“Mr. Eduardo?” she asks.
I can’t help but smile.
“Yes. Eduardo.”
Clara looks surprised.
“Do you still work with him?”
I nod.

“Yes. The staff is exactly the same.
My eyes scan the house for a moment.
“There are no changes.”
I look at her again.
“If you notice… At home everything is exactly the same.”
Clara smiles softly. And that smile hits me in the chest.
“Thank you for tonight,” she says.
Her voice is warm.
“Dinner was delicious.”
She pauses slightly.
“I had a really good time.”
For a second neither of us moves, then she takes a small step towards me.
It’s time to say goodbye, we lean slightly towards each other… almost out of habit.
A kiss on the cheek, that was the norm before. But just when we’re about to do it… We both
stop.
Our faces are too close, too close to pretend that’s what we’re going to do.
Because now… our lips already know each other… Clara barely looks up at me, and then it happens.
Our lips meet, it’s a short, soft kiss. Just a touch.
We barely separated, we looked at each other. Our faces are still centimeters apart.
And without saying anything… we do it again. Another kiss, also short, but this time my hand moves towards her waist.
I circle her gently, she raises her arms. Her hands are resting behind my neck.
I draw a little more to her, her lips reaching for mine again. Another kiss, but this one… it is no longer so brief. It’s slower… Deeper.
I feel her body closer to mine as the kiss spreads.

As if neither of us was in a hurry to separate.
And for a moment… I completely forget that tonight had to end.
When the kiss goes on… I feel something inside me being unleashed.
Claim
My arm wraps around her waist more firmly and I bring her closer to my body, Clara does not
move away.
On the contrary.
Her arms are still around my neck and her body settles against mine with a naturalness that makes me lose control for an instant. I kiss her again, this time with more intensity.
With more need…
My lips seek theirs with an urgency that was not planned when the night began.
Clara responds to the kiss, her breathing mingles with mine. I feel the air getting shorter
between us… Hotter.
I hold her closer, as if I fear that at any moment she could disappear.
My lips barely separate from theirs and they find them again.
Over and over again.
I kiss her deeply, savoring that moment that I had imagined too many times in my mind since she returned to my life, her breathing fluttering. Mine too. For a moment I completely forget
where we are.
I forget the door behind us, I forget the house. I forget everything… My lips gently descend towards her neck, the warm skin under my lips awakening something more intense inside
I hug her tighter.
My mind can barely remember that we are at the entrance of the house, that at any moment an employee could appear. But at this moment… I don’t care, because the only thing I feel clearly is Clara in my arms. And the deep desire not to let go of it yet.
My lips are still on her neck, her skin is warm. And its aroma… That soft perfume mixed with the natural smell of her skin hits me in a way I didn’t expect.
I close my eyes for a second as I breathe close to her, it’s too much.
