She had wondered why the First Medical Center suddenly rolled out a special recruitment program right after her residency qualification was revoked, and why she magically met all the criteria perfectly. Back then, she thought it was just a stroke of incredible luck, a gift falling from the sky. It turned out Sebastian had been pulling the strings behind the scenes all along.

And then there was the Jenna Joyce incident. Lila Lanning was demoted, Dr. Gillian Grosse was issued a hospital-wide reprimand, Dr. Sheila Sutherland had to write a formal apology, and the former hospital director was outright fired.
