Riley had absolutely no memory of being two or three years old. Penelope had told her she was found at the Riverport Station. She was just over two years old at the time, sitting entirely alone on a bench in the station lobby, crying her eyes out.

Penelope had approached her to help, but after failing to locate her parents, she took her to the police station to file a report, and eventually brought her back to the orphanage.

As Riley grew older—especially when Elaine and George showed blatant favoritism and mistreated her—she had often entertained the idea of searching for her biological parents. That was why she had asked Penelope if there were any clues on her when she was found.

But as time passed, she gained independence and the ability to support herself, and the desire to find her parents slowly faded. She hadn't expected the jade amulet to surface now.

Once, she had desperately craved the warmth of a family, but now she had Alora. Her obsession with finding her biological family was gone, and her outlook was no longer so naive.

With a plan in mind, Riley told Penelope that she would return to Riverport to collect the amulet as soon as her work schedule allowed.
