She wondered if Sebastian had a blanket.
Since this was his mother's place, he could probably find something to keep himself warm, right?
Just as the thought crossed her mind, someone knocked on her door.
Riley quickly got up and opened it. Sebastian stood there holding a first aid kit. "Are you hurt?"
Sebastian shook his head. "You haven't treated your injuries yet, have you?"
Riley hadn't expected him to remember the scrapes she sustained while fighting off those two men the day before. The wounds had stung fiercely while she was showering earlier.
"I'm fine. It's just a few scratches."
"They aren't just scratches. If you don't treat them, they'll get infected." Without waiting for an invitation, Sebastian stepped into the room.
Riley followed awkwardly. "Really, it's unnecessary."
Sebastian looked at her with resolute eyes. "Sit down. I'll apply the ointment for you."
Riley's face flushed crimson. She stammered, "It's... inappropriate. The injuries are on my... shoulder blade and lower back."
Having personally taken her to the hospital, Sebastian knew exactly where she was hurt. "Should I ask Lucille to do it?"
"No," Riley rejected the idea instantly. Subconsciously, she was deeply repulsed by what had happened yesterday. She didn't want anyone else to see the physical proof of that nightmare.
Because of that, she hadn't even mentioned the injuries to Mrs. Gable.
Sebastian stared at her sternly. "You can't reach those areas yourself. You won't let me do it, and you won't let anyone else do it. Are you just going to leave them to rot?"
Riley had genuinely planned to just let them heal on their own. If they got infected, she figured she'd just take some antibiotics or buy iodine spray to apply blindly in front of a mirror. "It's not that serious."
Sebastian frowned. "Do you not trust me?"
