Dylan paused, the conversation with Dennis replaying in his mind. It was true; he had been careless and hadn't pressed for details.
But he wasn't about to admit his oversight now. He kept a stern face and said, "Even if I said that, as my executive assistant, you should have understood the importance of the situation and given me a more detailed report."
Dennis sighed in resignation, silently complaining about Mr. Austin's double standards, but he didn't dare say more. "Sir, what should we do now? Should I find another butler to replace Berton?"
Dylan was silent for a moment before saying slowly, "No, that won't be necessary. Let's keep him for now."
Making a move now would seem too deliberate.
Then he added, "Keep a close eye on everything that happens at Sunset Villa Estates, especially Berton."
"Yes, sir." Dennis acknowledged the order and excused himself.
He knew Mr. Austin was in a foul mood and that it was best to stay out of his way to avoid getting caught in the crossfire.
......
Meanwhile, at Sunset Villa Estates, the four children were video chatting with their Uncle Samuel in their room.
Samuel asked with a serious expression, "I heard the Fosters came to bully your mommy tonight?"
Noah nodded. "Yeah, but don't worry, Uncle Samuel. Our daddy already chased the bad guys away."
"Your daddy?"
Samuel was surprised. Had Dylan had a change of heart?
From what he knew of Dylan, he never seemed particularly concerned about Becky's affairs. The fact that he'd stepped in to protect her was genuinely startling.
Ethan chimed in, "That's right, Uncle Samuel! Daddy even sent them to the hospital. Their faces are all swollen up like pigs, hahaha."
