Cordelia was on the bus, feeling super ticked off. She and Jamie had been used by Samantha once again.
When she got home, her mom wasn't there, but the lights were on. Cordelia called out for her mom several times, but there was no response.
Pushing open the door to her room, she found Ronan sitting on her chair. Cordelia thought, “He probably knows what happened today.”
But she didn't see his car downstairs. Did he hide it somewhere?
His driving speed was certainly faster than her taking the bus. Looked like he came to give Cordelia a surprise attack tonight.
She was so scared that she wanted to close the door and run, but Ronan caught her and threw her onto the bed. He was on top of Cordelia.
"What did you guys do?" he coldly asked Cordelia.
"Where's my mom?"
"I'm asking you what you guys did that night!" he shouted, his hands tightly gripping Cordelia's chin.
"I'm asking you where my mom is?" Cordelia raised her voice.
She was really worried about her mom, almost like fire about to spew from her eyes. Considering Ronan's ruthlessness, she started worrying, would he hurt her mom?
"What did you two go to the hotel for?"
"That's none of your business!" Cordelia turned her head away in anger, ignoring Ronan.
Maybe his possessiveness was acting up again. Ronan undressed Cordelia and began to enter her. Cordelia fought back fiercely, scratching his back, biting his neck, biting his lips. Afterwards, they were both exhausted, and Ronan was shirtless, standing in front of the mirror in Cordelia's room, looking at his back and neck.
"Kitten, you really know how to scratch!" he gritted his teeth.
Cordelia was aching all over and couldn't move. She lay on the bed, gasping for air and squinting her eyes to rest. "Where's my mom?" Cordelia asked again.
"Is that the only sentence you know how to say?" Ronan said in annoyance.
Cordelia closed her eyes disdainfully, not saying a word.
Ronan was buckling his belt. He turned to Cordelia, gripping her chin again, his tone softer than before, "Did you sleep with him?"
So Ronan's car wasn't there because the driver had taken it. Cordelia glared at Ronan, her heart finally at ease. "You're so cunning!"
"You'd better pray my wounds heal by tomorrow, or else, you're in trouble," Ronan said and then left.
Cordelia heard him talking with her mom in the living room, but she couldn't make out what they were saying. Then, she fell asleep.
When she woke up the next day, she found herself lying in Ronan's arms. Cordelia immediately turned around, as if touching a plague. But she was stopped by him, and he held her even tighter.
Their bodies were close, his body heat instantly ignited Cordelia.
This time, she wouldn’t forgive Ronan anymore. Cordelia increasingly felt that Ronan was an enigma, and she couldn't see his bottom line.
Maybe in his mind, he thought that because he was rich, he could do whatever he wanted. It was easy for him to make Jamie and Manda do such a thing.
Also, he misunderstood what Cordelia said in the office last time. What was that anyway?
Because of Jamie, they had a dispute last time. Cordelia went to save him, indeed out of instinct. But this time, Cordelia decided, she wouldn’t do it again.
