"What's going on?" Ronan asked as he walked in.
"I've got a charley horse in my calf." Cordelia grimaced, the pain nearly bringing tears to her eyes.
Ronan sat next to her and gently lifted her legs onto his lap. But now, the cramp had subsided. Cordelia started to question if it was all in her head. "It doesn't hurt anymore." She quickly removed her legs from his lap.
"Have you been taking your prenatal vitamins on time?" He asked Cordelia.
"Uh-huh. I always take them on time." She assured him.
"You're lucky you haven't been dealing with morning sickness." Ronan suddenly commented.
Cordelia didn't think much of it at first, but then she remembered that Ronan first suspected her pregnancy when she started vomiting.
"Did I ever mention that?" Cordelia asked.
"Don't you remember?" Ronan questioned.
"I did vomit a few times in the early stages of my pregnancy, but then it stopped." Cordelia explained.
"Really?" After that, Ronan climbed into bed and started reading a book.
"Are you sleeping here tonight?" Cordelia glanced at him.
"Where else?" Ronan asked.
He suspected that Grant saw Cordelia vomiting and she was afraid he would tell Ronan about her return, so she decided to leave the Lakeside Hotel overnight. But then she thought she could only run for a while, not forever. In order to completely cut ties with Ronan, she deliberately found a pregnancy test.
This could prove that Cordelia wasn’t pregnant that night. If she was pregnant, she could buy a pregnancy test herself, instead of picking up someone else's. Therefore, she got pregnant after that night. Of course, it was not ruled out that she slept with Jamie afterwards and got pregnant.
Thinking of this, Ronan felt a twinge of jealousy.
But now, Ronan was 55% sure that the twins were his, unlike before when he was 100% sure that the twins were Jamie's.
Why did Cordelia lie that she was pregnant with Jamie's child that day? And she wasn't pregnant at the time. He also remembered that night, she struggled so hard that the condom slipped off. So, Ronan was not angry today.
When would he find out that the twins were his? That depended on when she told him. He was giving her a chance.
