On the way to the restaurant, Cordelia’s heart was on edge, uncertain of what punishment Ronan would inflict on her.
It’d be good if the truth came out from Ronan, as she had no intention of having anything to do with Harold.
Harold had been nothing but a nuisance to her.
The only one who seemed upset was little Callum, who pouted all the way. He wanted Cordelia to be with their father, but seeing Harold holding her hand, he was upset.
Suddenly, he broke free from Ronan’s grip and broke apart Harold and Cordelia’s hands. “You can’t hold hands!” Callum declared angrily.
“What’s wrong, Callum?” Harold let go of Cordelia and picked up Callum. “I am taking you for dinner!”
“You’re stinky. You smell like sweat,” Callum retorted childishly. He intentionally embarrassed Harold, hoping to sabotage Harold and Cordelia’s relationship.
Yet, Harold didn’t seem embarrassed at all. “I just finished a basketball game, of course, I would be sweaty. You’ll be the same when you grow up, kiddo.”
Harold even playfully tickled Callum’s nose. His happiness was apparent.
As the four of them continued their walk towards the restaurant, they noticed a crowd surrounding a small park, with people carrying cameras and directing.
“Oh, Cordelia?” It was Sienna again. She was initially watching the filming, but upon hearing voices from behind, she turned around and seemed to spot Cordelia.
“Cordelia,” Samantha took Cordelia’s hands, “I heard from my mom that you’ve been teaching here. You’ve spent several years in Edinburgh, and now we are all back home together again. I'm playing a teacher in this drama, and I might need to consult you if I struggle."
"Hi," Harold chimed in sweetly.
Samantha's eyes lit up upon seeing Harold. "This charming young man, so likable. Cordelia, you have good taste."
Samantha seemed a bit envious of seeing Harold.
Afterward, Samantha pulled Cordelia to the side, whispering into her ear, "Since everyone seems to approve of you and Harold, stop dreaming about being with Ronan or having your child call you mom. This is your life now. You know who's behind me. If you dare to tell Ronan, you won't be able to find your son tomorrow. Even if you tried to protect your son 24/7, you can't forget about Ronan. After all, it's too easy to pull off another Shayla-style murder!"
